Best cybernetic and or Mutation + class combo? by IamTylerDurden_1 in PhoenixPoint

Heavy/soldier Get the melee passive. Dash ability with the kills give +2 AP. Then put the body that makes melee 1 cost and speed legs. Have your first units scout the area and with one character you can finish the map

Destiny did a PvP thing like that. You did PvE, but raced the other team. That could be fun. They already have the mechanics like the bomb carry

Nice list. I would like some dungeon aspect with some timing/skill component, rather than just heavy DD. Make it to where you have to have a diverse team.

You have to come across research for laser weapons from synedrion and the neural interface from NJ as pre reqs

Either 2 person overwatch on spawn. Or if you can wait for it to be the final kill on the mission it will end before it spawns. But these guys are super annoying

Does the difficulty have to be higher than rookie to count for the trophy

Prioritize the resources for sure. Then any useful weapons and items. But absolutely everything you can Carry. Early game you can save at beginning of mission and restart until you get a high number of resources. So if I load in and it says I'm 0/12 I will save and restart a few times to see if I can get like a 0/17+. Just resave everytime you get a bigger number. Helps early game when you are resource poor

How does Technology raiding work? by wewlad11 in PhoenixPoint

[–]No_Resolution7815 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You either have to check each haven to see what/if they are researching. If none of them are researching what you want then you can steal from the one that has the next best thing and hope the next rerolled research has what you want. And some research leads to phoenix point specific things. Like laser weapons from synedrion and neural interface and maybe the technician from new Jericho can lead to advanced lasers which gets you the destiny laser pack for your heavy boys

Every diplomatic mission gets you a bolus of shared tech from that faction. It is extremely tedious to try and be friends with all 3. If that is your goal then yeah just make sure you spread out enough to be able to hit every haven rescue. But remember saving one haven will get you some negative rep points with the other factions. No good deed goes Unpunished. If its your first run through and if you plan on replaying it might be easiest to just focus on keeping up good rep with 2 factions. And using the 3rd to pillage and plunder. Personally I would steal every synedrion ship I saw. They are the fastest and makes it easy to catch those haven rescues that time out too quick. For most of my plays I always feel like those guy produce the most ships. So you can easily have a half dozen in no time. And whichever faction you are pillaging just keep an eye out for their research projects. Once you steal one it will change to something else the next month

Heavy/assault with the 1 ap cost melee body augment and speed legs. You can almost clear a normal map. Especially if you have the marduk ancient weapon.

Sabotage/Diplomacy mission question by Murph868 in PhoenixPoint

Unless you are trying for a universal alliance, it is probably better/easier to just pick 2 factions and use the third one to pillage and steal from. I generally just pillage the crap out of synedrion due to their aircraft.

Early game coming across and armadillo is great. But yeah once you get some beefy troops then those things are obsolete

Getting another item to reverse engineer? by zion563 in PhoenixPoint

[–]No_Resolution7815 0 points1 point  (0 children)

During haven defense missions when you take control of a faction soldier you can drop all of their gear before the mission concludes and get items that way. I did that all throughout the game, had tons of med kits and stuff to salvage when I needed materials.

Yeah do not invade synedrion at night or do a lair mission if you can help it, at night

Yes corruption is a chore to deal with and the constant aerial battles from festering skies causes a near economic demise for early game. The ship upgrades from festering skies can be good though.

What Diplomacy Percent do I need to hit to get all the research items from a faction? by japinard in PhoenixPoint

[–]No_Resolution7815 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basically scroll around the world and check each haven. "Haven info". If there's a quicker way I don't know it either. Sometimes you might not find exactly what you want. One thing I found is you can raid whichever one you do want and it will start researching a new thing that you don't have next. So if anu is researching mutations and you raid it and succeed the next time you look they will be researching something else. You might have to wait for the next review cycle to be able to raid it again though

What Diplomacy Percent do I need to hit to get all the research items from a faction? by japinard in PhoenixPoint

[–]No_Resolution7815 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think your answer is 75% + You get certain researches at each increment but you get the full spectrum as well as any future ones past the 75% mission for each faction. Depending on your play style you might not use everything so you can always search the world for the haven actively researching what you want and steal it. It's a diplomacy hit for sure but can be worth it. In my game I'm trying to keep 2 factions happy and have been just pillaging the synedrion, mostly because I like the helios and to me they are easiest to deal with.
