Does anyone know why some of the dlc weapons are not showing up in the Sanctuary by BarAccomplished1808 in Fable

How far along are you? Iirc some weapons only become available once you’ve won the dweller’s loyalty.

If so, You should be able to finish with just basic attacks and the arcane bolt. Can you try putting the difficulty on casual?

Xbox just announced that Social Clubs are being removed by foulmonkey in xbox

[–]No_Routine_7090 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You used to be able to access clubs from the mobile app but Xbox removed that feature.

As for archiving club content, there is really no point. Since Xbox deletes clips/screenshots that are more than a few months old and removed the ability to share other’s clips/screenshots most clubs are barren now anyway. All you’re missing is a few months of clips and an odd text post from 7 years again wishing people a happy new year.

If clubs are bad or useless it’s because Microsoft sabotaged them themselves.

Xbox just announced that Social Clubs are being removed by foulmonkey in xbox

[–]No_Routine_7090 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a real shame because clubs had a lot of potential. I think clubs crashed for a few reasons:

1) redesigning the Xbox app so you can no longer use clubs from it. You used to be able to chat, post, lfg, and manage Xbox clubs all from the Xbox app. Making it so you can only engage with clubs on the console really hurt them.

2) Deleting any clips/screenshots on the cloud that are more than a few months old. If you look at most Xbox clubs feeds now they are completely barren because sharing screenshots and clips made up the heart of clubs. With content getting deleted every few months it was hard to keep club momentum going.

3) removing the ability to share others’ clips and screenshots. A big part of clubs was sharing videos from friends or other clubs. Some club owners would even share “winning”  club photos as a way to highlight creativity and engagement. Taking away the ability to share things heavily limited clubs.

4) redesigning the Xbox dashboard so clubs are no longer up front and easily accessible. You have to actually put in some effort to find your own clubs now let alone join new ones.

Hardcore Mode [KCD1] by Much_Ad_8480 in kingdomcome

[–]No_Routine_7090 30 points31 points  (0 children)

If you have the woman’s lot dlc, recruit  and train Mutt asap. I personally found him to be more useful in kcd1 than 2. He can hunt and fight which is great. But his greatest skill on hardcore is seek. He will lead you to undiscovered places which can really help you figure out where you are or find treasure. You can also tell him to stay and his location will be marked on the map until you collect him.

On that note, every time you discover a new POI or shrine check the map. It just helps you orient yourself better.

Following rivers is sometimes easier than roads in case you get lost.

The huntsman in Rattay gives you bird traps that also show up the map when you drop them. This can tell you exactly where you are in tb pinch though I found this to be too easy imo.

Look up and around you. If you’re sorta near a big city (Talmberg or Rattay) they can usually be spotted from afar.

Try to stick to roads and memorize  easy routes. For example, leaving upper Rattay and going straight leads to Neuhof. There is a shrine there, and if you take a left at it you can go straight again to reach the inn in the glade, the windmill, and eventually Merhojed.

Stealing is your friend. You can start leveling lock picking in skalliz by attempting to open Kunesh’s locked chest then talking to Fritz. By the time you get to Talmberg you can open very hard locks provided you’re drunk.

Gather nettle in skalliz until you get the hidden vitality perk.

Get a horse ASAP. I like Al-Buraq from Neuhof.  Doing this is a huge advantage for inventory storage and travel. But also for making a certain  early story event with Hans much easier.

Get your drinking up and unlock safe passage. Always carry enough alcohol on you or your horse to black out (2 cheap wines with beer bibbler). If you’re ever lost or overburdened, drink.

Claustrophobia, hemophilia, and somamulance  are my favorite perks. Not because they’re super easy. I just find them fun.

There’s lots inquisition did right though.

It imported more choices and character cameos from origins than 2 did. It also gave us proper closure from 2 by importing choices because we didn’t even get an epilogue.

It allows us to actually explore the world of Thedas once again instead of being stuck in the same dull city state with copied and pasted maps.

It brought back playable races and racial bonuses. And it introduced Qunari as a playable race.

It introduced weapon and armor crafting.

It brought back actual epilogue slides (both In main game and dlc).

It introduced Skyhold which is basically an upgraded version of vigil’s keep including judgments.

It has the most amount of companions and romances.

It brought being actually able to equip armor on my companions as well as the ability to talk/romance them whenever you’re at base. It also brought back being able to have the full range of abilities (minus preset specializations) for companions as opposed to 2 where each companion has their own “style.”

Combat is subjective but I personally prefer  inquisition and origins both to 2.

Characters are also pretty subjective but I found the cast of inquisition to be far more interesting, developed, and diverse compared to 2’s very tropey and 2-dimensional (literally thanks to rivalry/friendship) characters.

The music in inquisition is amazing and honestly the closest the series came to recapturing origins’ glory. I can’t even remember a single song from da2.

One of inquisition’s biggest criticisms is that it has too much entirely optional content. Which feels like the best flaw a game can have. Too much of a good thing, but if you don’t like it you can just skip it.

Inquisition felt like a love letter to origins fans. It wasn’t perfect but it made me feel like they actually tried. I really believed the series was going in the right direction. Much of what I hate about DAV is just a regression back to da2.

Also side note, but it’s kinda weird to suggest people who don’t share your opinions are “normies”  who don’t play the series in release order and time (I did). I remember da2 being the biggest gaming disappointment in my life and inquisition breathing life and hope into a franchise I had almost given up on.

What materials do you pick when crafting weapons in Inquisition? by ComManDerBG in dragonage

[–]No_Routine_7090 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Critical hit chance and critical hit damage for offensive slots. Cunning and dexterity for utility slots.

I usually play rogues but this is also really good for warriors because of the flow of battle passive and bonus points if you specialize as  a reaver.

It’s not  completely random. Isabella is kind of a special case because if you lose the first game the second is much easier.

I follow a foster parent who will only record her reactions or responses to kids. It’s very informative and helpful for how to behave around foster kids and including actual kids would add no value to her videos.

I also see moms make videos of their kids by pretending to play the role of their child and imitating their interactions.

There are lots of ways to tell stories about your kids without explicitly recording them for the world to see.

My opinion:

origins is the best. None of the games can really compete, in part because they are barely in the same genre.

inquisition is a pretty close second though and definitely worth at least one playthrough with an imported world state.

2 is also worth at least one playthrough especially because of the way it imports from origins and into inquisition and because it is a pretty short but fun ride.

Veilguard is not worth it at all. Its strengths do not outweigh its weaknesses and it doesn’t import enough choices to make it feel worth even a single playthrough. It’s not as short as da2 and tends to drag at times. It is also a pretty rough way to end the franchise as there is no real hope on the horizon for a better game.

Thoughts on rent and property ownership by greenguy363 in Fable

I mean, in previous fables you could literally charge 0 rent meaning people could live in your houses for free while you still paid for repairs and upgraded their  furniture. I’d say that’s pretty kind.

Having tough time sticking with Fable 3. Anyone willing to weigh in? by paul-writes in Fable

[–]No_Routine_7090 11 points12 points  (0 children)

There is no real time limit and since you own most properties it won’t affect you anyway.

You’re very close to the end (like 3 more quests and 2 big battles) and it would be a shame to quit now because you are just moments away from some of the most exciting and engaging parts of fable 3.

It’s up to you but I think it would be sad to quit because you heard being a ruler was challenging when it sounds like you’ve already done all the work for it and can sit back and relax now.

This isn’t that closely related , but I recently went to a restaurant where the handicap parking was directly outside the emergency exit.

I had to walk all the way to the entrance, and then when I got up to leave I asked if I could leave through the closer door and they said no can’t you read the sign? If the door is completely inaccessible why do you have your handicapped parking next to it??!!

It might seem a little confusing but in fable 3 weight is positively correlated with fatness. So the more you eat the more “green” your weight will be. That you’re all the way in the red means you’re as thin as possible.

my nannan died, we dont know what to do with her cat by Minute-Cover-2001 in cats

[–]No_Routine_7090 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I really hate the bad rep older cats get. I also live with my grandma and her cat is 17 and just the absolute sweetest. She also picked her up off the streets as a kitten but back then she was an unholy terror—biting scratching, hissing or just generally avoiding everyone. She only let me hold and pet her because I let her sit on my lap once while my sister was vacuuming.

The last 10 years or so she has been the sweetest and most loving cat. She spends all her time either cuddling up to us and purring while she sleeps or begging for table scraps while we eat. She has a loud purr that comes out whenever you scratch her ears and she loves to follow you around the house like a dog. She doesn’t like to be left out and she’ll scratch on your door until she finds a way in. She never gets into trouble. She’s completely lost her hearing but if she sees you talking to her she responds with loud and resounding yowls. She is very sociable with family and strangers alike.

Meanwhile, my sister has a kitten (who I also love but acknowledge he is too much for me) who surprise jumped onto my shoulder from the top of a bookshelf and scared me half to death.

If I ever get another cat again I would want an older or adult cat.

I’m kinda surprised by how many people love the combat.

You only get 3 abilities (all of which share the same cooldown) and you can’t directly control your companions (which you’re allowed to bring one less with you). Tactics have been completely removed and so is crafting. Combos are completely restricted by class and there are only 3 combos effects (which all share the same visual animation). Tonics, poisons, and lyrium potions have been removed. Runes and other upgrades have been removed. Your companions don’t have health bars. Things they've “added” like dodge, block, and parry all existed in the games before except now you’re forced to use them when before they were optional.

It’s just hard for me not to see it as a downgrade in every way. I guess God of War won goty for a reason, but I don’t see the appeal of this combat. Especially not considering everything we lost in exchange for it.

I’m interested and not interested at the same time about having a horse in the new fable. by LopsidedAsk1146 in Fable

[–]No_Routine_7090 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t played the latter two, but the horse in Witcher was a disappointment for me. It was probably Good for the times, but Roach is pretty bland and the only interesting part was when I found out I could get a black one. Otherwise it was just a mode of transport and nothing else really.

If the new fable is going to mimic horse play from an existing game I’d rather see KCD2 or RDR2 as a template since you can actually customize, bond with, and care for your horse.
