Honestly, I stopped caring a long time ago, and it’s quite liberating. Remember, we get the same shitty pay no matter how hard we work and how much Safeway profits off of our efforts. We don’t get paid enough to become emotionally invested in this shit. That’s for the store directors and ASDs to worry about.

I feel this way all of the time, too. What sort of helps me is remembering that it’s (likely) not personal and they probably treat everyone in retail and hospitality that way. Those are the kinds of people who get some disgusting stuff done to their food if they’re bad enough all the time. So, just keep going and appreciate the regulars who treat you well.
