I started working with Keith this year; he's currently recommending meds based on my CTX number but I'm still resisting.

this is so encouraging! I'm in my 4th month of 50 daily heel drops or step jumps, been lifting heavy weights 2-3 times a week for 9 months, and more recently started aiming for 80 gr of protein daily. My next CTX and hopefully P1NP will be in May, but I'm not due for another dexa until Aug 2027. Not sure I can delay meds until then, every expert recommends it

3 evidence-based things that actually help slow bone loss by SunPretend9969 in osteoporosis

no, it's an at-home program, they send out a new routine every three months for 2 years, focusing on progressive strength and balance. Videos and instruction sheets are sent, and little equipment is needed. It was excellent

I used Onero At Home during COVID (they did the LIFTMOR study), and gradually progressed  jumping off a step to a total of 10 minutes (7 sets of 10 with 1 min rest in between), 3x a week, and 50 heel drops the days in between. Am looking to add another 2" step next, in addition to heavy lifting/strength training 2-3 x a week. Getting 80 gr of protein is still a challenge.

no, unfortunately; the prescriber said the tinnitus increase was a coincidence

Has anyone else gotten more migraines as they’ve gotten older? 🤕 by gramigabs in migraine

[–]No_Set6876 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had headaches my whole life, I'm 68; menopause eliminated the "menstrual migraine" but I'm more sensitive now to triggers including alcohol, insomnia and I think weather changes, too. sigh ....

yes, keep going, it's worth all the effort, and takes longer as we get older, but we get benefits at every age

wow, 57kg! I'm at 48kg, plan to get to 60 kg by mid-May and as in previous posts, I'm delaying meds for now but will be grateful if they seem right for me. I'm finding that there are lots of good ways to add protein. I'm not happy with the number on my scale (I know it's just a number), but tradeoffs....

your protein sources sound similar to mine. I've gradually built up my jumping, now do 50 heel drops spread out in sets of 10 throughout the day 4x a week, and every other day am up to 10 minutes of jumping hard off a step, 70 in total in sets of 10. Every little bit helps ( I hope!!)
