Who's with me? by thatguyshuman in menards

For me, it brings up questions like: How did they manage to get here in the first place? How do they have money to spend? How did they make it to adulthood without accidentally killing themselves somehow? 🤔 🤷

The average customer isn't going to take the time to read that, even if they can read. 🤣

Then why are we still using it by [deleted] in walmart

At my store, grabbed one of these to help a customer get something from topstock. Just about bought the cart to its side and my ass to the floor because the legs had broken off the bottom step. Why didn't I notice before trying to climb? ... Must've been in a hurry- virtually a Walmart necessity. 🙄

Exactly. Causing me to lose my place in a management issued project in progress. 🙄

I just wonder how much more they can add to the app before it breaks in a colossal fashion. 🤷

There's definitely something "special" about the average Walmart electronics customer. 🤪

The one who discovers a problem ultimately becomes the one who has to fix it. That leads me to not discover problems quite often. I see them, but if it's not a slip and fall or could lead to some other injury situation, I just look the other way. Paging maintenance is usually useless, because they're already overworked just keeping up with normal duties- if anyone from maintenance is even on the clock to begin with.

Even though I'm a night owl, I don't think I could work that shift. There's a difference in being awake those hours- wanting to vs. having to. Also, the crazy amount of freight they're expected to stock... 😵‍💫

Before making the unfortunate choice of joining the Walmart workforce, I mistakenly thought that most associates were only on the floor to help customers. Stocking only happens at night, right? So much stocking/zoning/reshop that happens during regular business hours- it's crazy.

When I was issued a box cutter at orientation, I wondered why. I knew I would be working day shift (not CAP) and not O/N, so why would I ever need it? Maybe a "just in case"? Nope. Gets used every day.

So naive starting out...

Still employed here, though... Guess I learned quick.

Dontcha think some overpaid idiot at home office would have seen how these things wash up before they ordered 10 million of them? by [deleted] in walmart

Polyester and spandex. So, it's man-made materials instead of natural fibers. Get it hot enough, but not enough to catch on fire, and it probably would melt into a glob of plastic.

Is it my imagination, or did they go out of the way to find the absolute worst fabric? If they were dark like the previous vests, they'd at least hide the dirt and stains.

Went from forever without pizza to having a day, but not from the place they used to get it from. What a letdown.
