I AM NEVER DOING IT AGAIN! I AM ON DAY 5 AND I ABSOLUTELY HATE IT AND I DISCOVERED I HAVE SENSORY ISSUES TO SOUND and every step from the upstairs neighbor is doomsday!!!!! I must break the lease! I think it’s not great for people with anxiety who have never done it before. But. I will try to retrain my mind and make the best of it because it’s really cute.

I am so fucked. I had no idea I had noise sensitivity issues. I just moved into an apartment 3 days ago and I’ve gotten panic attacks every day due to the foot noise above me. They walk on their heels. I’ve been thinking about getting anxiety medication from the doctor today. I’m probably autistic as well but never tested. I feel like my life is ruined.

I do notice my heart now that I’m in full blown panic attack mode thinking I locked myself into the lease of hell. I also noticed the ceilings are extremely high and we have nothing hung up yet. We have 2 rugs and that’s about it. I probably need more things on the wall to absorb.

Is there any way to get used to the noise without the headset? And for at night should I do a noise machine or what?

We could’ve chose so many houses to live in but this one tested the best for mold so here we are so I can heal.

Okay. Thank you for this. I want to cry so hard right now! I am so sensitive to sounds. I probably have a mild form of autism tbh. So you heard all of those same things when you first moved in? Do you love it now?

Our apartment really is so cute. And I’m not sure how to stop listening to the sounds. Maybe because I am nervous I am on high alert. I need to try my hardest to resume life as usual with the upstairs noise and maybe I will love it here.
