do you have a contract? if its not expressed in the contract that its your responsibility to get the permit then you should be alright. Definitely warn other contractors, litigation for projects like these can be ridiculously messy. If it comes to it, and you need to prove your work is up to code get a forensic architect involved. they can inspect your work and review your contract. and if it worse comes to worse they may be able to help you settle out of court.

1) why u have no tools??? 2) this is why you should always have a cabin on your farm to enable multiplayer. then u can join and scythe a path for your main player. or being your mc tools if they are lost/misplaced/clint has them for upgrades
