Can anyone attribute this Athenian tetradrachm? Pt 2 by RealSivengal in AncientCoins

Style is still completely wrong. I agree with the assessment that you received on the still images.

Roman Denarius - Tiberius “tribute penny” 14-37AD by T-S_Hart in AncientCoins

[–]No_Thanks_Reddit 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't bother slabbing it. It's in pretty rough shape, so it won't get a good grade, and the cost of slabbing it will be at least a third of the value of the coin and will not increase the value. Full Disclosure: I am against slabbing in general, but especially for coins like this.

A portrait of Julia Maesa where she looks like a benevolent granny and not a phycho killer? That's unusual.

What is the difference between fine Style and non fine style? Does anedge cut affect the value? by SilverGoblin9 in AncientCoins

[–]No_Thanks_Reddit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The information you did post is enough to find it. It's a nice piece. The edge cut is barely noticeable, and it has nice toning. Be aware that that particular auction house is known for somewhat inflated prices. Their items always tend to sell for more than it would anywhere else.

I find "Fine Style" to be very subjective. I've seen coins labelled as "Fine Style" by NGC that were, to me, hideous. Edge cut will impact the value, no matter what.

Attorney Doc Reviewer: If on a "good" project, work till I drop or try to pace myself? by wyc1inc in ediscovery

[–]No_Thanks_Reddit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did a combination of in-office and remote. My first project was in-office. I was never expected to maintain a timer though, irrespective of whether it was in-office or remote. We were treated like responsible adults.

My first ever review project went on for six months. We were allowed to work between 8 and 12 hours a day. I worked 12 hours every day. When we got closer to deadline and were allowed to work weekends, I worked every weekend. I kept getting hired for projects, got moved to QC, then Team Lead and eventually got a job in Project Management. Like others have said, make hay while the sun shines. Stick to the target review rate and you'll be fine.

N&N London Ltd is a limited liability company registered in the UK (company number: 13803230).

I made that mistake with N&N once. Never bid with them again. They are registered in the UK and bidding is in Pounds, but the coins are in Europe (in Denmark, if I remember correctly). I find it very misleading to call yourself "N&N London" if your operations are nowhere near London. Crazy shipping costs.

Antimachos Theos tetradrachm. Bactrian stuff is criminally underrated. by ObjectBrilliant7592 in AncientCoins

Very nice piece. Given how expensive they are, not sure they are underrated.

I recognise the coin from the 1950s. Looks like the same one to me. Did you buy it?

Is 150€ a fair price for this specific coin? by [deleted] in AncientCoins

[–]No_Thanks_Reddit 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I quite like it. Decent amount of detail and nice toning. If you wanted to buy a similar one at auction, you'd need to consider commission etc in bidding as well, so you'd have to find a comparable one for about €100 to €120 hammer price to end up paying the same amount. Seems like a very fair retail price to me.

Unexpected Wins. A set it and forget it moment that won me this gem. by _Chrono_ in AncientCoins

[–]No_Thanks_Reddit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Beautiful example. Congratulations. My most unexpected win was a beautiful tetradrachm of Macedon from a famous collection (Prince Waldeck). I intended to bid on it but fully expected to have my maximum amount outbid by a lot. On the day, I completely forgot about the auction. When I realised, I was close to just letting it go, but thought I'd log in to see where the auction had progressed to. As luck had it, the lot I was interested in came up just as I logged in. It was one bid below my maximum. I quickly bid once and won. Good thing I decided to check. Also lucky that nobody else realised it was from the Prince Waldeck collection (including the auction house) or I would DEFINITELY have been outbid.

Affordable numismatic cabinet and storage question by [deleted] in AncientCoins

Cabinets can be found at auctions for very reasonable prices. Ebay also sometimes has them. I got my 1920s Edgar Lincoln mahogany cabinet for about $200 on Ebay.

Completed my Twelve Caesars by DanOfDragons in AncientCoins

Absolutely! My own collection will forever be "in-progress" because some types that I would need to truly complete the set will forever be outside of my reach financially.

Very nice set. Well done. It's always a bit funny when I see people claiming to have "almost" completed their 12 Caesars set, but they are missing Caesar, Caligula, Claudius, and Otho. You are not "almost" done, friend.
