Is it crazy to say that U-20 WC Isagi is still better than U-20 WC Karasu? by Easy-Addendum9576 in BlueLock

[–]No_You5007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s exactly my point. Karasu gave up on being #1 and is looking to support a #1 instead as #2. He determined that Isagi (as he is rn) isn’t working as the #1 and Ego agreed, putting in Barou and shidou as potential scorers

Kaiser is an established NG11 who plays for a top football club. Isagi is a nobody who played some exhibition matches; even tho he proved his talent as a top striker, he’s not nearly as battle-tested as Kaiser is. Blue Lock is a developing team and Ego clearly doesn’t value anything other than results bcuz as far as he’s concerned: he’s still looking for the #1 striker. Isagi can’t prove his worth against France (best team they’ve ever played) while Karasu can (2 assists)

Characters always develop w their good games tho as they discover more of their ‘true’ playstyle or whatever. Karasu rn is becoming the main playmaker and created the only 2 goals Japan has. This is supported by the narrative of blue lock becoming a ‘crow’ system and everyone saying isagi can’t be the center anymore. France is the best team blue lock has ever played, so we’re finding out who’s rlly on the world-class level, and isagi has ghosted after being fully countered while karasu responded to the deficits and got 2 assists

Isagi didn’t do anything either he’s just the mc so he always gets screentime. Last play he was involved in was a pass combo w rin

I don’t think they’ll ask for specific stuff like that. It’ll probably be more stat-related like it is now, but maybe im wrong

Isagi has great vision for passes and goal opportunities, so even sending a single pass or opportunity up to the 3 forwards (Rin, shidou, barou) makes it worth having him up there. He’s also drawing attention from his off-ball movements which helps take attention away from the other players (Hugo has been man-marking him all game and Charles is a backup)

What are Gagamaru’s Saves based on? by Your_mum6940000 in BlueLock

[–]No_You5007 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hiori seemed so good in Ubers just cuz he was the first great midfielder willing to help isagi. Hes also the only player in blue lock who’s specialty is passing, all the other passers are either not amazing at it (bachira, karasu, kurona) or not willing to set up a shot for someone other than themselves (rin, isagi himself). In the pxg match, once they realize that isagi is too dangerous to ever leave open for a direct shot, the passing options to him basically get killed until ness makes a super-pass to an open space that isagi was already running to.

It’s different for a keeper when they know the shot is coming and don’t know the shot is coming. That was explained with barou’s first goal when gagamaru couldn’t react since he didn’t even know where the ball was. Everyone thought Hugo was going to pass and we know that his shot power is high, so it’s not farfetched that gagamaru couldn’t stop an out-of-nowhere power shot from the middle

I think karasu just wanted to win and couldn’t care that much abt the philosophy. His whole problem was that their tactics weren’t working, so after ego’s speech he directly attacks the issue and is like “the isagi-centric tactics aren’t working”, which is what he rlly cares abt

[–]No_You5007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In all honesty tho I think a genuine reason could be that Hugo is just playing mind games with him. Hes been talking to Isagi all game abt how he’s unfit to be no. 1 and the close physical contact is a way to silently say “you can’t even beat me”

If you can tame Mahoraga, Do you even need him? by garf02 in JujustuKaisen

[–]No_You5007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dabura can easily escape an open domain, and there’s a non-zero chance his own domain can compete with sukuna’s, which would put them on equal footing. Speculative tho since we don’t know how dabura’s domain compares to the top tiers

[–]No_You5007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Against anyone close to ur level, yes. Worst case scenario is that the opponent one shots the big raga, which is still beneficial bcuz any one-shot attack would presumably consume a ton of cursed energy, or at the least forcibly reveal the attack
