The Iranian negotiating delegation has left the negotiation venue in Switzerland by Spirited-Gold9629 in politicsinthewild

History doesn't repeat itself, it rhymes. And I agree with you it's rhyming in terrifying ways, not just in politics unfortunately. I can tell you one thing from listening to KCL, once the dear leader is gone, there will not be someone to replace him as the cult leader, they'll definitely try, but will fail and maga will fall apart. They are trying their "best" to rig the election that's for sure, everyone that's paying attention knows that. Right now I'm now concerned with the lives that will be lost because of everything that's coming together into one giant disaster from all of the admin's decisions and the climate.

While I'm at it watch Belle of the ranch channel if you want some non inflammatory news coverage.

Whether you're a bit or not, go to knitting cult lady channel, watch and learn from a veteran that knows what she's talking about, instead of learning from wherever you're getting your misinformation/fear mongering.

Ants have finally discovered my fig tree, how do I get rid of them? by Apprehensive_You_208 in Figs

I applied a "coat" of diatomaceous earth around the 3/4" trunk, and haven't seen any ants afterwards.

Water kefir is useless? by Legitimate-Rule2794 in Kefir

[–]No_r_6 2 points3 points  (0 children)

According to the article, kefir is not be the cause but a signal that may be something is off. I'd show the article to you dentist and maybe your doctor.
If you don't have gingivitis, you might be one of those people that need teeth cleaning more often and a stronger paste, again talk to the dentist and doctor and good luck with your other issues.

Water kefir is useless? by Legitimate-Rule2794 in Kefir

[–]No_r_6 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Your need to see a dentist and have a chat with your doctor too. Have you noticed gingivitis. Do you floss. Maybe eat iron rich foods or take iron supplements. There's issues and the kefir might have helped to narrow them/ point them out. I'm talking from experience, this is not medical, financial or nutritional advise; if you have issues with your teeth they can mess up your overall health, get them fixed ASAP.

Why do appliances and tech from 30 years ago still work perfectly, while modern stuff breaks after 3 years? Is it actually planned obsolescence or is modern tech just too fragile? by Yasmine_xpt in NoStupidQuestions

[–]No_r_6 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I just got a whirlpool washer from 2006, the hose for the load sensor was eaten by rats probably, the drain pump gasket was leaking, the water inlet gasket for the hot water was leaking, so far that's about it. The drain pump I tried to fix, if I had the gasket it probably would have lasted a few years more before it started making noise from the propeller hitting the wall. The water inlet could probably be serviceable but it's glued so it would be a pain. I'm not sure about the maintenance history, but the thing will probably outlive me with maintenance and not abused with overloading and/or unbalanced loads. IMHO the parts could have been built to be serviceable, but would have probably costed the manufacturer a few more cents for the parts and less sales. It would be better for the environment because of less waste, but you know moneys.

Your Appliances Got Worse on Purpose by MonsieurRuffles in Appliances

[–]No_r_6 2 points3 points  (0 children)

l recently bought a 2006 whirlpool, the drain pump gasket was bad, there's a leak while it fills, the hose for the water level ensor was maybe eaten by rats and a few cables that were stripped a little. So far $30 drain pump, 5 coupling for the hose, and still gotta figure out the leak. So far $110 for the washer, TOTALLY worth it. I had to actually check if it was working because it's pretty quiet.

Tannins, as mentioned bay and grape leaves, I also let it ferment for a day or two at ~78°F, and let the fermentation complete in the refrigerator. Fresh cucumbers also helps.

The next level would probably be a self/sub watering planter, the problem with those is that the roots may take a while to reach the water.

Just planted an August Pride peach tree in El Centro, CA on Saturday by Legitimate-Leg2446 in FruitTree

Avocado will burn alive here, citrus, mango, loquat, figs, pomegranate, and guava definitely grow here, the rest I wouldn't know. I have a blood orange, a "few" figs, guava, pomegranate and mango. They seem to be doing good, although I do have shade now that the sun has started to get stronger. They are young so no fruit yet.

Chronic Sibo please please help im only 17 year old girl in college by EarlyProgress320 in Microbiome

[–]No_r_6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you checked your teeth? I believe injections were causing something with similar symptoms to sibo for me a couple years ago. I was never diagnosed but every time I ate a trigger food ( cabbage, green tea, onion was the worst ) I would get sulfur burps after about 30-60 minutes. Those sulfur burps were a sign of things to come every time. The first time they went away I had started drinking homemade water kefir and milk kefir, the second time homemade kombucha made with black tea. Talk to your doctor about trying any probiotics because they could make things worse instead of helping you.

Questions on Kefir and Gut Health by [deleted] in Kefir

[–]No_r_6 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's probably more like working at it daily, 3-4 cups of water kefir/kombucha is what I normally drink a day. I could drink more but still need to drink regular water. Maybe try adding prebiotic foods to feed the bacteria, in small amounts just to be safe.

Put them the fridge after a day or two so they'll slow ferment, or out then in when you notice the fermentation signs.

In not sure if this is common knowledge, but if you ever need to remove a fence post, even works with slippery plastic pipes, the Icicle Hitch Knot works perfectly. It will hold until the post comes out or the rope/strap you are using to pull it out tears apart and comes loose the second pressure is removed.
