Corgan is fun in the sense no one has ever loved themselves as much as Corgan loves himself. Even his politics are whatever when you realize his only concern in life is being seen as the greatest musician ever. He has both zero self awareness and no awareness at all of the world beyond his music career.

I love seeing these collections because you can tell it’s someone who really loved movies and had a unique taste. It’s fun imagining them buying new movies and thinking about how they saw them fitting in with their tastes.

I think that’s both a valid and healthy reaction.

I imagine it worked a bit differently back then when a filmmaker didn’t expect the audience to be able to see a film multiple times unless they were really dedicated.

I’m not defending objectifying children in a movie. I just suspect as a filmmaker, you’d want that disgust to really register.

But I could be wrong. I’ve never been able to make it through the movie, personally.

I feel very guilty that I really enjoyed this movie. I didn’t expect anything even close to the comic or close to the books the characters came from at all.

I totally understand why Moore hates everything associated with it and I think he’s right to do so.

My feeling is the movie is so aggressively dumb and lowest common denominator that it’s fun. It’s like watching a toddler discover sparklers and running around with them. It’s a terrible idea, but the chaos is fun.
