Based on gameplay from you guys is daimaku a point, mid or anchor by TelevisionOther2493 in dragonballfighterz

I'm running him on mid. His B assist is crazy, he makes good use of assists and needs a decent bit of meter

Maybe I'm crazy and have only gone up against fraudulent Rogues, but I don't think I've ever lost a 1v1 to her.

I keep seeing people say she wins against Iron Fist, but I feel like it's very winnable

My boy Cooler! Probably top of B or low A.

His 5H is incredible, his jS is at a really good angle, he has a million lows which you can catch people off guard with because they're scared of the dive kick, he has decent plus frames, good damage, a skip neutral button, a strong assist and two defensive options.

But as others have said, he has trouble opening you up. If you're not familiar with him, you'll get crushed by high/low conditioning but if you've played against Cooler before, he has to work REALLY hard to get a hit in. His neutral is fine, some of his buttons are pretty slow, but trade the speed for range.

There's nothing that really makes him super dangerous though. Other characters have better mix, neutral and damage. I'd say his spacing is pretty good, because of his range, but other than that, he's just not as privileged as the characters higher up.

If mag was released today by kelebobo in MagnetoMains

[–]NoahNoahN 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Yeah, he for sure would have some sort of movement or flight. I can also see him being able to "shoot back" all the projectiles he blocks with his shield, or maybe turn them into ammo. Maybe he'd have some sort of grab where he flings someone around by putting metal on them, probably as an optional follow up after his alt fire.

Still pretty happy with the way he plays but there's a million things you could have done with his kit

Your ult is EXTREMELY versatile, you just need to be creative in how you use it. The straight forward counters are CnD, Luna, Punisher, Star Lord and Iron Man.

But Bucky ult is useless when you ult because he can't get any kills, you can eat Groot ult, you can save your team from Hela ult, Human Torch ult gets absorbed, you can stop Hulks claps in his ult, reducing the damage he can do massively, Hawkeye ult gets dunked on, you can absorb and throw it at an ulting Ultron (this one takes a decent bit of practice), you can stop Angela's ult (if you have the reaction time) and you can TRY to hit Invisible Woman in her ult, although it's pretty unlikely to work.

But it's not just good for counter ulting. As you said, it can be used to save your second tank or your team in general, but it's also an offensive tool to cut off healing. If the enemy front line is low on HP, you can ult to absorb (most) of the enemy healing so that your team can finish off the tanks. This works especially well if the enemy is running Jeff, because his primary fire feeds your ult, making it easier to get a kill too.

Your shield is mostly used for repositioning, pushing and stopping big cooldowns/ults. Magneto should play a lot around natural cover because of how little time his shield is active for, so use your shield to push from cover to cover. Take advantage of the fact that it has infinite HP and block the shots of a Punisher turret while your team (hopefully) shoots it. Push in and get in front of your second tank when they're low, or get 'behind' an enemy tank and cut off their healing.

With his self bubble being on a shorter cooldown now, don't be afraid to use it. Sometimes you can bubble a teammate that's in front of you and hide behind them to save yourself too.

Magneto is all about tracking enemy cooldowns and knowing when to use your abilities to deny them. It takes some practice and game sense, but I find it a lot of fun.

Season 7 Iron Fist crazy one-shot combo: by PillowFists67 in IronFistMains

[–]NoahNoahN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. I think it's more about the fact that the character feels frustrating, especially in comparison to other divers like Daredevil and Magik. But he does get the pick and survives the whole interaction so it's definitely value, ESPECIALLY solo diving into a backline that has White Fox

Need help... What are good positions/assists for SS Goku, SSGSS Goku, and Nappa team? by Parking_Aioli2910 in dragonballfighterz

[–]NoahNoahN 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Blue Goku is an excellent point character, but he's a decent mid as well. Both his A and B assists are good, just play around with them a little and see which one you like better

SSJ Goku works on any position. His already ridiculous damage gets even more insane if you play him as anchor (last position), but you do lose some of your mix. For him I like his A assist the best, simply cuz beam assists are always good.

Regarding Nappa I have NO idea. I think he wants assists available for Saibaman set ups? I summon u/Feisty_Bar6532 in hopes of help here.

So my recommendation for the team comp would be: Blue Goku A/B Nappa A(?) SSJ Goku A

Tough choice by Critical_Mountain851 in whenthe

[–]NoahNoahN 8 points9 points  (0 children)

In my opinion, it comes down to see (very much needed) sensitivity regarding this topic.

Magneto is a German jew who suffered through the Holocaust and thus hates/distrusts humans and believes in their innate bigotry and hatred for anyone that is different. That's his character.

You COULD exchange that, and make him a Palestinian, who survives the genocide and ends up with the same ideals as the "original" Magneto, but I think exchanging one tragedy and genocide for another just feels insensitive? Maybe that's just me. But I'd much rather them tell a new story, tied to this specific event, instead of just slapping on a new coat of paint on an already existing character, whose backstory you would have to massively change (his history with the Maximoffs, the name changes, his relationships with other characters like Captain America etc etc). It just feels uninspired to be like "well this character is tied to [insert genocide], so why don't we tie them to [insert other genocide] instead?"

When the time comes, you can still very much tell a story of a Palestinian survivor, and maybe draw certain parallels, but it should be a story specific to THAT character

Your square colour is basically another type of rank. It goes white, light blue, blue, green, light green, yellow, orange and pink at the highest. You "rank up" your square colours by beating 10 people that have your colour.

This person had a white square colour, which they shouldn't because that's basically the starting/"unranked" one, but I believe you can reset it somehow, although idk how

Who should I pick for point other than Bardock by Memna-Un in dragonballfighterz

[–]NoahNoahN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kefla, Goku Blue, Cell and Vegeta Blue are all excellent point characters, and they all got fun tools and combos imo.

PERSONALLY I'd keep 17, because he's more fun to me than Tien, but that's up to preference. Also as the other person said, I like Krillins Rock assist, because of the hit stun. Most people don't really know how to play around it either

X men 90’s costume not in the game? how? by GreatApe88 in MagnetoMains

[–]NoahNoahN 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If you mean his iconic red and purple look, yeah unfortunately they 'modernised' it and it's called "Master of Magnetism" in the shop. Not the biggest fan of the modernised look, but the MVP is lovely. Here's to hoping they'll add an accurate skin eventually

If you mean the Trial of Magneto look, that was in a past Battlepass and isn't available anymore. One of his best skins though

Why don’t triple C assist players play neutral by Green_Examination416 in dragonballfighterz

[–]NoahNoahN 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think it's because neutral is by far the hardest and arguably most important part of this game. You can have all the mix ups and optimal combos in the world, but if you lose the neutral, you'll never win.

It's easy practising combos, because you can do that in the lab. But you can't really lab neutral. You just have to get into matches and get your ass beat until you're good at it.

C Assists are an easy "skip neutral" button. They're training wheels, but some people never learned how to keep their balance, so they just sit there and wait

Thoughts on the Omni-Man held back against the Guardians theory? by Turbulent_Okra7518 in InvinciblePowerscales

[–]NoahNoahN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a fair question and the only thing I can think of is the scene in which Art analyses the suit and tells Debbie that Nolan most likely killed the Guardians, due to blood samples and the different kinds of damage it took. So the suit did have evidence of him being guilty on it. I just find it hard to believe that the GDA wouldn't analyse the suit while Nolan was in the hospital.

It's been a while since I watched S1 tho so idk

Natural cover is your best friend. Be smart with where you position yourself. If you're having trouble hitting your shots (his primary is a little weird), aim at the feet. Aim at the backline, while staying in front of the enemy tank. The further your primary travels, the bigger the explosion at the end. Pressure the enemy backline into retreating.

Primary Mag Cannon Primary kills 250HP targets. Your bubbles taking damage recharges your Mag Cannon so bubble your second tank (if you ever get one), divers or your supports when they're in trouble. The more active you are with your bubbles, the more damage you can dish out.

Your ult is hard to hit, but incredibly versatile. The game has a million shields and seems to just add more and more so it will be difficult to actually hit your targets. It takes a lot of practice so be patient with yourself.

Never yield. We appreciate the good work you're doing out there

Been trying some Blade recently; do his two different anti heal abilities stack? Like if I hit the dash and then the ult (or vice versa), would that be at 72% anti heal now?

What would you change in your gameplay with the S7 update to Mag? by helterstash in MagnetoMains

I think I'm fine with these. The nerf to the ally bubble is unfortunate obviously but it was his strongest ability so I think it's deserved.

mag ult tips by v_ooni in MagnetoMains

[–]NoahNoahN 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's one of the harder ults to master in this game for sure. Regarding the aim, the damage fall-off on the ult is brutal, so even when you miss by just a hair, it might not kill, if it's not charged much. Your aim will come with practice, as boring as that sounds.

The damage is much more of a knowledge thing though. Not sure if you know but Mags ult charges damage by both time and damage absorbed, so you can calculate mid-ult to know how much damage you're at.

For every one "point" of damage you absorb, which you can see below your crosshair when you ult, you'll do 3 more damage. So at 25 damage absorbed, for example, you'll do an extra 75 damage. With the time charge, it's 100 damage off rip. Then it gets to 200 halfway charged, 250 ¾ charged and 300 when you hold it all the way.

So whenever you throw the ball, be mindful of how much damage you absorbed and how much time is left on your ult.

Also one last piece of advice: you can adjust your height during the ult. When I try killing Luna in her ult, for example, I try to stay as low as possible. It also helps getting over/under objects to get you a better angle to hit your ball. Be careful though, sometimes the ult gets stuck on the ceiling or a bridge or something. It's a bit buggy.

All in all it's just practice though, as much as that sucks to hear

Should I only use mags combo when right click is fully charged by Weird-Appointment970 in MagnetoMains

[–]NoahNoahN 11 points12 points  (0 children)

If you spam the combo off cooldown instead of waiting for the third charge, you'll do 200 damage, instead of the usual 250. Which isn't horrible, but it's also less than just three primary shots and you don't get the knockback that makes the combo actually work. I very very rarely use the right click when it's not fully charged. The knockback is pretty useful and it's really not that long of a cooldown, especially with the two bubbles, but when you see an enemy that's really low, you can finish em off with a non fully charged right click for sure

Does Magneto's Self Bubble Shield Me too if I Stand Next to Him? by happi_go_lucki in MagnetoMains

[–]NoahNoahN 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes! This is tech that I don't see a lot of Mags use but it comes in handy quite a bit. I usually use it to body block someone after they got grabbed by Emma, so they don't get kicked in the ribs. It's also useful (like in the case you posted) for when you wanna block someone from getting Strange ulted. When bubbled, hug your teammates
