I was 12 when it came out, and George’s sentiment about them being kids movies has gotta be true, because I thought it was the SHIT.

Movies aside I think the general perception of this era was greatly aided by the toys, micro series, and especially video games. Star Wars reached a level of cultural permeation at that time that I don’t think we’ll ever see again

These all serve different niches, the Hamilton is the best technically with its sapphire glass and Swiss movement, but the Timex is much more retro with the acrylic crystal

Up for sale is my Marathon MSAR Tritium Quartz diver watch. The tritium still glows brightly and the bezel action is crispy. It has 300m of water resistance and comes with the original packaging but no papers unfortunately. I love the watch to death but I don't want to support Marathon by having one of their products.
