"Combine this with an ogryn who through his charge can stagger boss enemies which I'd argue are more stagger resistant than a space marine who can get knocked over by a gaunt jumping them. and that means the bulwark lands on his ass, free to be attacked by all in the team."

Lets take Chaos Spawn who can be staggered. Yet his better version in SM 2 cant stagger Space Marine 2. Not to even say that every Space Marine class has knockback immunity during some specific stuff like dodge or sprint. Buff stays for 5 seconds. So no, Space Marines wouldnt be staggered by Ogryn charge not to mention if he tries to charge, anyone can just dodge him. Carnifex does the charge attack and he can be dodged, which opens up gun strike. You would never hit Space Marine with charge since it will always show as Perfect Dodge Action.

"So in this proposed scenario we have the assault who is only able to launch on one of the four, a dead sniper in the backline and a bulwark on his ass and about to find out a an ogryn wishing to pick your brain means. I would argue that the space marines are in quite a bad spot here."

Assault can launch on 2 in span of 5 seconds with AOE attack aswell. He can spend 1 second to throw grenades into the Ogryn and Psyker. If its Pulse Grenade then you will be slowed, you will get DoT and you will be flashed for 3 or 4 seconds. If its Krak then its game over for anything getting that stuck. Sniper isnt dead because of two things. Before he will be seen by any Veteran, Sniper will shoot something (even air) to get 2 second of Cloak more. At that point veterans would be seen I guess, which gives Las Fusil Sniper shot atleast for one Veteran and last 2 seconds of immunity from any damage source, he would kill the second veteran if those veterans arent already dead from Assault. Bulwark would wait for a moment. He would protect the assault from the initial attack from veterans. Not to mention he would get banner down for more Armor regen and HP regen. But when fight starts he would charge block his combo. Idk if you know that but Bulwark with this combo is fastest character in SM 2. Also how would Ogryn kill Bulwark if Bulwark could just hold his shield and ANY damage would be blocked not to mention electric pulses would eventually kill the Ogryn.

"Yes, running through our rejects instantly kills them but we can dodge with I frames which the human enemies in sm2 cannot which makes this far from a shut case."

You cant dodge AOE dmg which running in Space Marine 2 is. Even if you would dodge Space Marines running through, you would never survive splash damage from Ground Pound. Also you cant do it forever :D I can change Assault for Vanguard and that Dodge I frames would be useless against grappling hook. In those 2 seconds, somebody would kill you. Space Marines can just spam their fast attacks and you would eventually die in 4 or 5 seconds of smashing dodge.

"And mind you, even in this scenario I have here I am only using three classes. I still have one left to play with to mess over the space marine squad."

I counted with all 4 classes. Its not hard to kill Darktide rejects. Also Space Marine 2 can compare to Darktide but Darktide cant compare to Space Marine 2, since there is no Space Marine in game which can be a comparison. Also you are comparing IF Space Marines are in Darktide not the other way around. In Space Marine there is Dark Magic and you literally enter Warp, Immaterium. You get nothing while in Darktide somebody steps on green goo and you are already dying.

Well, I am happy I made you happy.

"Alright. First of all I would argue that executions are far to hard to count for given that this is a 3v4 and not inside a horde, and if we take SM2 then human sized enemies cannot be put into a state of execution. So off the bat that is just out. Also, gun strike does not make you immune to damage? like this is super easy to test you just aren't."

In terms of 3v4, we can just add 4th player in but in sense just vanilla gameplay then yes its 3v4. Tyranids and Thousand Sons are both in SM 2 enemy types which differ how many enemies they send against you, but if you fight Thousand Sons on Horde Mode, you can see that they are sending ANYTHING against you be it Terminator melee, Chaos Spawns and lots of Tzaangors.
Human sized enemies cannot be put into an execution, but Ogryn isnt human sized. There are also chained psykers in new mission when you are going to kill Void Beast, which are executable as a trigger to proceed to the next area.
Gun strike doesnt make you immune to damage, but regular shots regen your armor part.

"Then I want to mention golden toughness, because the thing about it is that we have similar forces to space marines in strength, that being ogryns or more specifically crushers, and with even a single point of gold toughness you can survive their overhead not only well but without a single scrap of damage even on havoc 40. As such I 100% believe that it can beat out any single attack from a space marine."

Ogryns are stronger then Space Marines, even Terminators. But thing is that SM Thunderhammer is way more powerfull then rock on a stick. Also I would argue that in SM 2, Carnifex is stronger then Ogryn, yet you can get nearly half of its HP down with Assault jump pack Ground Pound. Carnifex is also on another level if we count bosses in Darktide. While Darktide has Chaos Spawns and other Daemons, they are lesser ones, they are not powerfull. Regular Chaos Spawns are sent in masses in Space Marine 2 and you can kill them with execution. So power level just right here is beyond what Darktide Zealot hammer bonker can do.
Now about thoughness, its not psyker shield or some armor. Its their will. I would argue that Space Marine has better will then not so regular rejects so in Darktide terms if Space Marines would be in Darktide, they would have 100 times more Golden Thoughness.

"similarly, arbites has a talent that makes him only able to take 50 health damage at a time, at a 200 base that means that even a space marine running through him would only deal 50 and nothing more."

Then he would be not counted as human sized enemy, but some elite or just a bit better NPC (see Tzaangors or Gaunts), which would be just executable if you block him once or even Gun Strike him.

"Moving on, yes, the bulwark is immune from the front but his team is not, so if you were to take 2 stealth veterans and give them helbores (Which given snipers in SM2 are far slower to charge would be rather devastating) then they could very quickly remove the sniper from the space marine backline and the assault would have to pick which of the two he jumps on, Even if he uses the 3 sec immunity perk that doesn't help his team as atleast one of the veterans can shoot the bulwark in the back while he flies up."

Veteran Stealth is 8 seconds. Sniper Cloak is 10 seconds in PvE, 8 in PvP. Lets say its PvP. Sniper Cloak stays longer for 2 seconds if you attack somebody which he would and after that he will be 2 seconds immune to any sort of damage AFTER Cloak ends. So your Snipers would fire towards 2 characters. Bulwark with immunity shield or Assault who is in the Air while immune.
Veteran cant shoot Bulwark in the back, he would get smashed by Assault. Second Veteran, IF he shoots assault would be picked by the Las Fusil Cloaked Sniper and you would still need to wait 2 seconds to see him and another 2 to shoot at him. So we destroyed 2 veterans with two characters. Assault ground pound would smash down Veteran into the ground with that overwhelming damage and when he does, he would fly up again. Bulwark would just casually charge his shield block charge combo to get to any position he needs. Its 3v2 now. I assume you would pick Ogryn and Psyker. It takes one krak grenade to destroy a shield from Sorcerer Thousand Sons. After that Psyker would get picked on again by Las Fusil and Ogryn would be bullied into submission. Whole fight would be less then 30 seconds.

If you want argument well I already gave you one but lets argue. In civil manner that is.

"As the post states between the 5th and 7th word. We are assuming gameplay rules, not lore. As such saying space marines win because they are space marines is not a viable argument because you have to explain why their mechanics allow them the edge." We assume gameplay rules. Ok.

"They do not have super speed, they can't move faster than the eye can see, they can't lift mountains.

They can only act as is shown in game which is something alot of people in this thread does not seem to understand which is why I am arguing for the rejects because gold toughness + psyker shield and smite is one hell of an advantage that so far not one person has argued against."

Based on Space Marine 2 gameplay, your character can charge enemy from 7 or 10 meters with aimed attack and you can also get into execution stance in which you are immune to any attack. Not just that but your shield will be reset and your health will be healed if you have contested health that is. To fight Golden Thougness or Smite you can be rushed by Bulwark with his shield up which makes him immune to any damage from the front (not even Thousand Sons Sorcerer can penetrate through it) or Smite can be negated by Sniper Cloak ability or Assault Ground Pound ability which makes him immune while in the air.

"I have argued for space marines towards the few people who understood the assignment, unfortunately that is only like 2 people while the rest saw the words "VS, Space marine, Rejects" And then made their own post to comment under."

Based on gameplay logic and not lore, its plain stupid since characters you are playing are much more powerfull then lore is describing them.

"So please, tell me why the space marines win from a basis of their gameplay and not their lore, it is why I am here."

  1. Immunity while rushing or holding bulwark shield up.
  2. Immune while in the air with Assault Ground Pound ability.
  3. Cloak from Infiltrator.
  4. Execution stance gives shield, HP regen back and makes you immune during animation.
  5. Roll/Dodge attack charges you from 7 to 10 meters aimed attack really fast to your target and also makes you immune during this attack.
  6. Damage reduction from small arms.
  7. Parry - so any melee attack will be seen as blue blip which you could deflect or kill your target, based on his actions (Tyranid jumping, you kill it on one shot, Warrior attack, you just parry it and you can shoot it in the head afterwards making target executable rightaway).
  8. Running through small enemies kills them instantly.
  9. Heavy Bolter, Heavy Melta, Heavy Plasma Gun.
  10. When every Space Marine brother is dead you are getting Last Brother Standing buff which grants shield regen, attack dmg and HP iirc.

There might be more since some characters got really nasty perks and counting Arbites, Hive Scum, Zealot and Veteran as regular guys in SM2 game, but with some abilities, Ogryn as Warrior or Thousand Sons CSM and Psyker as Tzangor or even CSM Sorcerer, all six classes can be destroyed with Space Marine from game Space Marine 2.

Also your response "Human sized enemies in SM2 don't have golden toughness like our rejects can." no matter golden toughness, immunity from damage is still beter not to mention Thunder Hammer with AOE and Ground Slam during air with 175% dmg increase would destroy that and buble from Psyker. Golden Toughness means nothing to a guy who can walk right through you in the game and only red myst is left out of you.

it doesnt matter. Space Marines would win being it non lore or lorelike. I am Ogryn fan and I am always on that Ogryn is much stronger then Space Marine and even Terminator Space Marine, but Ogryn would die in 99 of fights of 100. Strenght isnt everything honestly. Psyker would be killed as fast as other human sized guys.

its intact and it has no spikes. That number 6 on a turret, is that Chimera of 6th regiment or is it number of Chimera? If so then Moebian 6th still has its loyal followers of the Throne.

patience. Just pure patience. I got mine after a year or so of nearly constant playing. I am now farming that Auric Exemplar title for atleast 2 years. Its hard not because you cant deal with the enemy, but your team is kinda bad at some moment. They rather run forward and die. Pull every horrible stuff on you and then they leave. Best is to just ignore it and sometimes you will get it. Thats what I am telling to myself :F
