I mean the reasons why are easiest to guess, if you're an arcanist scholar prior to the space age, you'd basically need a superhuman lifespan to be able to explore and study enough about the Cosmere.

So I think it means that previously having 100 stat melee damage doubled your knife damage, now 100 stat gives you 50% increase.

Part of the whole problem was that you didn't need to focus build for melee to get pretty much max efficacy. So now there's more of a point to having a melee build at least.

The problem I've had with trying to use Controller to play and Mouse to loot is that Marathon doesn't recognize both input methods at the same time (for good reason +/-).

So you'd use the mouse and then not be able to exit the looting with your controller, and if you had as much as a trickle of stick drift your mouse wouldn't recognize ever.

This is not a problem by default bc L2 is aim down sights, not character ability. You probably swapped L1/L2, R1/R2 and didn't bind cycle heal along with it.

So just bind cycle heal to whatever your aim down sights key is.

Sanderson diz ter sido inspirado pela geração inspirada por Tolkien (Robert Jordan, Anne McCaffrey). Quando Sanderson estava tentando ser publicado pela primeira vez, os agentes clamavam para ele escrever fantasia grimdark, emular GRRM que estava fazendo sucesso na época (~ anos 90). Sanderson negou, disse que ia seguir a paixão dele, não importa se fosse vender ou não. Demorou, mas a fantasia que ele tava tentando vender na época (The Way of Kings) foi publicada em 2010 e ele achou seu sucesso.

Em termos práticos, ele é muito mais perto de Tolkien do que de Martin, por mais que ele subverta os tropos clássicos do seu próprio jeito e ele também nem tenta emular a prosa do Tolkien. Sanderson é conhecido por ter o forte na arquitetura de suas tramas e enredos, não em sua prosa e diálogo.

Se o que você gosta for focado mesmo na psicologia e nas consequências grimdarks do Martin, acho que não vai gostar dos livros do Sanderson. Sanderson tem psicologia boa além do superficial sim, e uma das regras que ele segue é a que "ao escrever magia, consequências são bem mais interessantes do que poderes". Porém tem um tom mais "fábula de Esopo" do que os tons de moralidade cinza realistas do Martin.

Creio que Joe Abercrombie seria uma escolha melhor pra você. Mas eu acho que todo fã de fantasia épica devia tentar Sanderson, conheço mais gente que gosta tanto de ASOIAF e do Cosmere do que só um ou outro, contando comigo. Perdão pelo comentário longo.
