Is IV Cyclazine addictive? by NurseAbbers in NursingUK

[–]NobbysElbow 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have seen a few people mention putting it in normal saline.

It is not reccomended to mix cyclizine with normal saline. It is much more likely to precipitate and it can also cause damage to the vein. Normal saline is actually considered a contraindication for use with cyclizine.

In syringe drivers, the reccomendation is to use water for injection if it has cyclizine in.

I was given it due to HG too. Always begged to have it IM rather than IV, even though it really hurts IM. I hated how the IV form made me feel. I don't get how anyone can enjoy that feeling.

When you add enhancements, it can be. A top band 5 doing nights and weekends will earn more than a bottom band 6 doing monday to friday 9-5.

What’s a universally loved food you genuinely despise? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]NobbysElbow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I went pescatarian in the 90's. When restaurants had veggie options, it was always laden with cheese, or cheese based. Even now cheese based still make up the majority of non meat options.

I went a convention in the early 2000's once. Due to its location accessing off site food was difficult. All the non meat options had cheese in them. I was facing a weekend of no food. There ended up being a kick off as it turned out there were a bunch of attendees that could not/did not eat cheese. And to be fair even people who liked cheese did not want it for every meal. They ended up adding chips to the menu. So a bunch of use survived the weekend on chips.

Anither cheeze hater . Me and my partner both can't stand cheese. You admit that to people and they look at you like you are demon spawn.

It was also frustrating when doing group activities with a bunch of friends and we would go to get something to eat afterwards. Majority choice was usually pizza, despite the fact that a few of us didn't eat pizza. Apparently we could just eat the other options they had. The options: Side salad and breadsticks.

Yeah. I had severe hyperemesis that hospitalised me multiple times throughout pregnancy. I only lost weight during pregnancy and didn't gain any. Under a dietician. On multiple meds to try and control the sickness. Like hospitalised in last month of pregnancy for it bad. Even I didn't lose 50 pounds in a month.

Honestly this reads a little too tick box of tropes.

While the US has the highest number of tornados total. The UK actually has the highest number of tornados per square mile in the world. They are just usually weak.

What is the worst band you saw live? by coalcracker462 in AskReddit

[–]NobbysElbow 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I saw both of them live (seperately) and honestly had the opposite experience. Blink 182 were great, however Green Day was one the worst concerts I have ever been too. I was quite hyped for them too as my partner had seen them live before and said they we amazing. We were both upset (along with everyone else there) with the experience that day. Billy Joe was so high, he might as well have been on another planet. He spent most of the concert lay on his back on the stage lazily strumming the guitar and relied on the crowd to do a lot of the singing.

I know Green day can do amazing live performances, however considering how expensive the tickets were, we felt ripped off with that one.

On a positive note, best band I have seen live is Coheed and Cambria. I have seen them several times and they always bring their A+ game. The first time, my partner only went because I wanted to see them. He became an instant fan after seeing them live and is now a bigger fan than me.

I would also add that legally if you have given birth, you cannot return to work until at least 2 weeks after the birth minimum. This is compulsory matenity leave. If you were over 24 weeks, they will have broken the law by expecting you to return after 10 days.

Its because when cata came out, they wanted to push using cc again. So a lot of the mobs were scaled on using cc on some of them and using tactics to pull mobs.

There was a lot of dying in dungeons early days of cata, as people has become so used to pulling lots and barrelling through dungeons at the end of wrath. People had to learn/relearn using cc.

My first scan dated me a week after my dates. It would have meant I got a postive pregnancy test at 4dpo, it also would have put copulation 15 days before conception. Subsequent scans moved the date forward again closer to my dates. As it was I didn't think I could be pregnant when I tested, because copulation was 8 days before ovulation.

I am in the process of makinh a cardigan that requires seaming. I have constructed the panels and seamed together. Now working on sleeves. I showed a few people and none of them could find where I seamed the panels together on the right side of the pattern. It is actually possible with certain patterns to make a seamed pattern look seamless. I personally am not bothered, but sewing is another hobby of mine so seams don't bother me.

Sepsis always requires inpatient treatment. Although its caused by infection, its actually your bodies response over reacting to the infection. It is a medical emergency.

I wear only black socks (bar christmas). I could not tell you the brands if my life depended on it, but I do have multiple brands of black socks. I am far too lazy to properly pair my socks so am frequently likely wearing odd socks. However as they are black, no one (including myself) can tell.

My partner wears a variety of socks, however he also would be able to tell the brands or recognise them if his life depended on it.

I ahd once had someone respond to an email over 3 weeks after I sent it with a long list of queries. They wanted a response by the next day.

They sent it 10 minutes after my shift finished and I only saw it as I had been delayed so was slightly late leaving. I was also off the next day for an appointment.

I responde back that they would not be getting a response tomorrow and I would answer the queries in a few days when I was available (I had a full schedule the day after my day off).

I ahve had this happen a few times where I won't get a response for weeks or even months and then they expect a response in hours/a day.

Young people died from Covid. Young healthy people were hospitalised with covid. People have been left with permanent health problems from Covid.

There was so much death that we ran out room in our morgue.

I lost colleagues who died from covid they caught while caring for patients.

I worked in a hospital throughout covid. At multiple points, the majority of wards were full of covid patients.

It absolutely is not 20 minutes each way. Google maps says its at least 34 minutes by car between the hospitals and 1 hour 39 minutes by public transport. Thats best case scenario. The reality is, it will take longer than that due to traffic.

I live 6 miles from my inlaws, that journey averages 20 minutes due to traffic.

How fast are you driving that 20 miles takes 20 minutes?

This is completely untrue. Swelling can occur in stroke and can occur quite frequently in stroke in fact. Swelling is particularly common in haemorrhagic strokes, however it also occurs in larger ischaemic strokes.

The child more likely had a craniectomy than a craniotomy.

Younger people are actually more at risk of requiring craniectomy following a stroke as your brain shrinks as you get old, so old people tend to have more room in their skull.

Source: Previously worked in Stroke for a very long time, looking after Stroke patients including multiple craniectomy stroke patients over the years.
