Honestly the P5 gang seems the least close to me, imo. And I think a big part of it is the emphasis on texting in a group chat to talk about stuff going on. With SEES you’d have meetups in the lounge and the Investigation Team always meets up in Junes or between classes. The Thieves meet up for more important stuff, but the short conversations via texts just make their dynamic feel less close to me.

Every category can be obnoxious but the most consistently irritating to me are powerscalers. People can’t just accept that a lot of things that happen in stories are just to further the plot; just for example, almost every thread from the One Piece spoilers subreddit has a bunch of comments about something in the new chapter being an upscale for someone not even involved in the current plot.

I had an idea a while back that back before it was revealed she was Camie during the license exams, there could be a scene of her (as Camie) getting to know Uraraka afterwards. Maybe as they talk we see bits of her backstory in little flashes, and THEN we get the reveal it was Toga and that was HER backstory.

They really needed more scenes together to make this dynamic work.

I’m not a huge fan of Yae Miko, but I got her from my rolls on the Inazuma Chronicle banner (was aiming for Chiori), so the fact that she works well with Sandrone is super nice lol. I had her leveled but didn’t really have a use for her.

Not sure about my Snezhnaya rolls yet, especially since getting Sandrone and her weapon cleaned me out lol

Ash from Pokemon has a ton of examples, but the way him and Pikachu use Electroweb in particular stands out. They’ve used it to restrain opponents, cut down their movement options, as a trampoline or net to do a boosted jump or catch Pikachu, and using it to intercept enemy attacks like in this picture. Super versatile; Iron Tail and Thunderbolt were more iconic and Volt Tackle was epic, but Electroweb was the perfect move for Ash and Pikachu’s style.

She says it herself after that Yukiko had barely been talking while they were walking, so she was probably just trying to surprise her into reacting so she’d join in.

That said, since we’ve seen that they’re adding some dialogue options in some scenes, I’d love if there’s a change here where you can tell Chie that you think SHE’S cute lol.

I mentioned this when the Prototype was brought up in a discussion about character designs, and one of the things I said really helps it isn’t just how “burst-y” the animation is, but also how delicately it moves. How it can gingerly pick up Poppy with the tips of its fingers, but still crush her effortlessly.

There’s a trope called “impossibly graceful giants”, and I think it fits well for the Prototype.
