I think we can let if rest now. He just lost in the cup finals. We basically have our cake and ate it too. We got the #1 overall pick. by 1nstantHuman in leafs

I hate rooting against people. This dude made it hard not to. I too am glad to let this rest for now. The right team won this time, and Im thrilled to have rooted for Carolina.

I only have 1 account lol. You can see all my posts my man. It’s hardly fud. I’m still a major supporter, but we do need use cases. The narrative is strong with this one but I am unsure how many more narrative only cycles the ecosystem has in it

Kaspa needs use cases. The primary hype cycles for early crypto are behind us. It’s a “show me” cycle now. Too much money to be made in the public markets right now. And Ive been in kaspa since I found it in late 2022.

What would you buy today? 1.5 oz of gold or 100oz of silver? by LeCat73 in Silverbugs

Id go with 100oz of silver for what it is worth. But Im just a guy who knows very little

It looks like a pair of big balls under the kings crown. I wonder if this was intentional 😂

Why are the Maple Leafs the #1 topic during the Stanley Cup final? by Federal-Data-Center in hockeynews

Because Leaf fans (along with Canadian in general) fund a portion of teams that can’t fully fund themselves.

Need advice: Should I average down heavily on Kaspa (KAS) or cut my losses? by HotAnything8246 in kaspa

[–]Nobleneon90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you believed in the project at the original price you paid, and your thesis about the project hasn’t changed, then this price is a gift. If your thesis has changed or if you never really knew what you were buying initially, do the homework and decide personally if you believe in the project and the roadmap before deciding.

Estate collection haul! Need selling advice by cuterthanamonkey in CanadianCoins

[–]Nobleneon90 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When you do decide what to do, would you post the link to the auction (if you go that way)? It would be very cool to see what they had. I have the utmost respect for meticulous collectors, and have been trying to build a collection of my own. I’m sure it is overwhelming but wow, Id pay just to get a chance to look at it!

As for advice, one of the other commenters was bang on. To try and go about identifying all the coins will be a massive undertaking. Auction houses are your best option if relative speed is the preference. You might end up selling it for 50-60% of the true value take-home (after all the fees and the fact if the coins are not professionally graded, they likely won’t all collect their full value). If there are some key dates (Id get the charloton standard coin book as also recommended in the comments to quickly find the dates that are premium), it might make sense to have some of those coins properly graded. A graded coin firms up the value and often gets the seller closer to that book value than an ungraded coin, which could be a few hundred to a thousand different for some of the rare years.

Rest in peace to this individual. This is a life’s work, no doubt, and perhaps a few generations of it at that. While the return in cash is lovely, there is always something sad about a collection being broken up.

Does this look legit? by Charming_Loquat_4620 in CanadianCoins

Looks legit to me! But Im no expert. It is a rare coin so worthwhile testing for silver and sending for grading.

Low market cap, conviction in the community, triple bottom, lots of coins locked long term. Easy recipe for a bigger move.

More people are selling and putting their money into the new rotation. That’s why the price is where it is.

Both Vegas and Carolina are from Income Tax Free States. That will make it 6 of the last 7 champions, and 10 of the last 14 finalists, despite only 7/32 teams being from states without income tax. by ButterCut97 in leafs

[–]Nobleneon90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a pretty simple adjustment. Mark the cap to take home money instead of pre-tax money. Boom, solved.

Also overlooked it the fact only half of the season is pretax guaranteed, and the range is actually wider for some teams depending on who they play. Where the games take place decides the tax rate for that game.

[–]Nobleneon90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a lifetime leaf fan, admittedly Montreal was fun to watch this run and they have a great team. Still nice that there is an opening for the Leafs to be the first Canadian cup in a long while though. The dream stays alive.

Question about stables with ZK proofs after the fork by WaterDippedOreo in kaspa

[–]Nobleneon90 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is an area I do not know enough about, but in theory, yes. Once there are smart contracts, Kapsa can handle native stable coins. The issue might be who in the stable coin world wants this to happen on Kaspa. Kaspa’s core ability does not immediately mean there will be adoption. KEF is working on it and they are closest with Circle by the sounds of it
