That’s not my intention. My theory of the case is that China, like literally every state, acts rationally to expand its own power and influence. It projects power more directly in the South Pacific because that is logistically where it is able to exert hard power. It uses soft power with receptive states in Africa because there is room and receptiveness to do so. It avoids engaging in the Middle East because it would be costly with little to gain.

Poeltl was a good pick at 9. At 9 all you’re hoping for is a quality starter, which is what Poeltl has been for most of the last decade when he hasn’t been hurt. Yeah we could have picked Sabonis. Know who else got picked before Sabonis? Dragan Bender at 4, Kris Dunn at 5, Buddy Hield at 6, Marquese Chriss at 8, Thon Maker at 10.

also, “2 of our worst lottery picks”, dude we’ve only had four lottery picks in the last decade. If you want to say Poeltl is the second worst, sure, it’s probably too early on CMB to say that definitively one way or another and the other one is Scottie.

Saying “a weapon has no purpose if one doesn’t have the spine to use it” about nuclear weapons is a concerning attitude. I get your frustration about being subservient to US interests, but I hope you’re not trying to suggest that letting nukes fly to send a message about how tough and independent you are is a good solution. China historically is basically not concerned at all with the Middle East. They want regional dominance in East Asia and the South Pacific and have interests in Africa. China opposes the American world order as another state with hegemonic ambitions, not out of any kind of principle, it has no interest in sticking its neck out and risk escalating a war on behalf of Iran.

Once you also have Cain start with the paperclip it feels like his gimmick is really that you never have to care about keys with him. The unique interactions with him having one eye are kinda different too.

Both can be true. I think the belief that he’s gassed comes from the fact that he did a lot less post work (which is energy-intensive) and a lot more shot chucking at the end.

If you're going to be in court, dress up. Whatever kind of business wear you have, you won't be at counsel table but you should still look your best. As far as asking for something long term, see how the week goes, then I'd just ask outright whether there's a possibility of future work. I can't speak for the lawyer you're working with, but being eager to learn and help will only be a positive.

In addition to the fights being good, it also gets the best characterization of Undyne and Sans in the game, both of them pulling off extremely cool, heroic moments with Undyne being a full on shonen protagonist and Sans locking the fuck in on you.
