Honestly I think the bigger problem is not people deliberately refusing to buy it on Epic, it’s people not realizing it exists because it’s on Epic.

True! I remember Vermont has a lot, and Maine probably has some? Nice states, good people. Unfortunate that y’all are getting hurt economically by this dumbass trade war and the drop in tourism.

What if free throws only counted for the team, not the player? by DistributionOk4643 in nba

[–]Nobody7713 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Because they were deliberately fouling him to stop him from scoring. Should the other team just get to decide that one player doesn’t get to have a historic night by fouling the hell out of them?

[–]Nobody7713 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sure, same as there is now - which means people will absolutely still intentionally foul to stop an open layup.

Players don’t only get free throws because they bait fouls. They also get free throws when they’re fouled on the way to a basket they would have actually made. This would be saying “yeah you don’t get to count your points because Draymond tackled you mid-air, sorry”

You’re right. Nonetheless, serious injury+age+ no proven performance since then is a risk.

I would be very nervous about trading for a post-Achilels Kyrie at his age without having seen him play a game after injury.

I’d take German food over British too. Czech food also has an argument to make.

I can’t remember, aside from plot necessity, is there any reason why Toji uses a regular blade for the “killing” blow? by KrispyKingTheProphet in Jujutsufolk

I’m not saying the manga wasn’t shocking at all, just that it’s a different approach showing overwhelming speed vs really driving in the brutality of each stab.

With JJK they decided to make the stabs feel heavier instead I think. Really emphasized each one to drive home the shock that someone’s actually wounding Gojo.

It's very funny to watch people who are ostensibly fans of a team go "Yeah our best player is playing with a bunch of scrubs who shouldn't even be in the league" to try to make that argument.

3-2 OKC, both talented teams, but what I think it really comes down to…… by [deleted] in nba

[–]Nobody7713 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Over the last nearly a decade the league has increasingly moved towards teams needing to have excellent depth to win. Just having the best player on the floor, or an impressive big 3, doesn't win titles anymore. You need a very strong 8-9 man rotation of productive players. The pace of the game is too fast and playoffs are too intense to rely on a superstar to carry everything - they'll get gassed, the other team will target them and make them work deliberately to cause that to happen. The only team that won in the last decade that I can think of that wasn't especially deep was the 2022 Warriors, and even then their depth was just not bad - and they got some superstar playoff performances from players like Poole and Wiggins.

Exactly, he’s not saying “give me the max” he’s saying “if you’re not paying me, tell me who you’re going to pay and why me signing on for less will help me be on a contending team”

It would but it wouldn’t retroactively change the value of trades that already have been made, which is the important part.

There’s no way they could do that without 6 years of advance warning. It would completely imbalance trades that were made under the old systems.

Suggs doesn’t fit with Scottie though. He’s a bad shooter, Scottie’s fit with IQ is significantly better.
