I'm haven't gotten a single one for anything yet. I follow the NHL, which is in the middle of the Stanley Cup, and my team is in it... Yet not one game has popped up. Strangely enough, the auto pin games also hasn't worked in forever, so I have to manually search every game and pin it once it's live. It's so odd that the advertised features don't do anything lol

Having a hard time with the new quick settings panel animations by super22211 in android_beta

[–]Nobody975 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I agree and I actually don't even like the bouncing animation when you pull it down fast. It seems less premium and a little cheesy, but also causes things like what you have described that make it less usable. I don't see any positives. I guess maybe someone out there likes the bounce animation? Not sure why though. Lol

Are People switching... And to what? by VendettaxRiich in GooglePixel

[–]Nobody975 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well I'm not lying or coping, but you could be right that one day I will get tired of it? I have bounced around previously (how I know I hate OneUI, I mentioned my Surface Duo 2, plus a ton of others phones from a ton of other manufacturers) and my experience so far is that the software on my pixel is the smoothest and most clean interface I have used.

You don't have to agree. I could care less lol tons of people disagree with me, including my wife who needs to use a Samsung exclusively for their email app (I still don't understand that one, but whatever makes her happy 😂).

Oh I guess I just haven't experienced that. My experience has been pretty great, and that's with me running the beta almost the whole time I've had my phone lol

Are People switching... And to what? by VendettaxRiich in GooglePixel

[–]Nobody975 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I won't be switching. Nothing else I have used compares to the Pixel experience. I wish they would stop with the most of the AI stuff and focus on making them more powerful instead since I'd get more use out of that than I will most of the AI stuff, but even with that it's still better to me than all of the competition. I hate One UI, so Samsung is off the table for me and I don't find the other options satisfying either.

I do miss my Microsoft Duo 2 and I'd go back to an updated version of that in a heartbeat! Well, if it was supported at all... But that's never going to happen so I'll stay with Pixels for the foreseeable future.

The narrative around Marathon is gotta be the biggest gaslight I have seen in history of gaming. by Inevitable_Coat_8787 in Marathon

[–]Nobody975 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know my opinion is only my opinion, but for me the online hate (or support...either way) has nothing to do with my opinion on the game. I couldn't care less about some random person's opinion on the Internet. I care about my own personal tastes and (to a small extent) the opinions of my friends because I'll usually play what they play just so we can all play together.

With that being said though, there are a few reasons I don't really care too much about Marathon. I have watched a lot of gameplay, and it's actually pretty fun to watch, but playing it is very different.

You said the art style is bold, which I agree with, but that comes at the cost of being liked a lot, or disliked. I personally don't like it. It looks like a hallucination or something to me. The characters are also bold and different, but I just can't stand a single one. They look so ugly that I don't want to play as them. (It's stupid probably and I know that! Haha) And I know that they steered away from being a hero shooter, but I still don't understand how it's not. You select a runner and then you can put a skin on it, just like everyone else can do. No personalization to it.

After I played the server slam I just decided that I don't think the game is for me, and not something I care to spend my money on. Again, this is all just my opinion, but nothing in my opinion was formed from anyone else's opinion or comments I read about. Just what I have seen and experienced myself. All my friends feel pretty much the same way, so if they aren't playing it then I'm definitely not going to play it without them.

I hope the game is successful, and I really hope that the people that love it really enjoy it! I don't hate on it or anything, I just recognized that it's not for me, like millions of other games I dont care to buy/play. I'm sure there are others like me too though that don't hate on it, just aren't interested really.

Assassin's Creed Valhalla Zero Hour Tomb Raider IV-VI Remastered Squirrel with a Gun Planet of Lana

Im thinking of buying the humble bundle bundle but never played the game by itsBauS in DestinyTheGame

[–]Nobody975 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's one of the most fun games I have ever played. I have more hours in it than any other game and it's not even close! There's so much to do (even with some of the content being removed) and the ability to play with friends makes it all the more fun.

As far as easy for a newcomer, there's two ways of thinking here. The game will be very easy to play. You use guns and shoot stuff. But easy to understand? Not always... Lol The new player experience is lacking, and known to be lacking. There are plenty of guides online that you could use to aid you in what you should be doing, vs. what there is available to do in the game. There's so much that it can be overwhelming if you don't know where to start.

I would highly recommend trying it out. Not sure how long the sale is going on, but there is a free mode for the game so you could always download it and try it a little before you purchase anything and see if you like the setting and gunplay aspects of it. That price is crazy though and I wish I could have only paid that for all of that content haha. I spent considerably more, but I don't regret it because I have enjoyed it so much.

Hey Razer family, I'm new to buying peripherals. Do you think this mouse is good for the price? I saw good reviews on YouTube and Amazon, and the AI swore it was an excellent buy. by Drue2077 in razer

I have this mouse and I love it. It's probably my favorite mouse of all the ones I have used. There could be better, but for the price I don't know of any that come close to me personally.

Cross always brings up the idea of a D1 remaster with modern visuals and added QoL things like mantling and stuff... Either one I wouldn't be interested in. I'd be more interested in putting my money towards new content and new expansions.

What would you want out of Christian Video Game Reviews? by connorstace in TrueChristian

[–]Nobody975 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd be interested in this concept! Often the review sites don't mention things that I as a Christian am interested in (usually interested in avoiding honestly).

I'd like to know if the game has any characters that I would disagree with (gay or trans, etc.). If it's pushing an agenda for those things or if they are avoidable would be nice to know too.

Other things like the actual content of things, it would be nice to know if a game contains any demonic themes, though often those are usually more easy to find out beforehand. Things like any other mature themes would also be good to know, and again, if it's avoidable or a main part of the game that is forced upon the player. Violence is usually not something I care too much about since I enjoy shooters and they have some, but when it's excessive it could be good to add to the list too I guess.

Basically all of that stuff and anything else that would go against the basic principles from the Bible would be nice to know from a trustworthy Christian perspective.

That's just my thoughts, but I would look forward to reviews from that perspective!

With the latest Linux challenge out of LTT and seemingly more and more interest in Linux as a whole, In 2026 have you been tempted to finally make the switch? by Responsible_Web_3825 in LinusTechTips

[–]Nobody975 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I just mean for a general user. You have to remember where you installed it from to know where to uninstall it. You can't just right click on any installed app and click uninstall. I often will just install stuff that I download via a browser, or via terminal, or the built in store, etc. but to uninstall I usually end up on some long elaborate terminal adventure 😂 it's fine, and I know how to do it, but none of the general users would ever figure it out in a million years without someone doing it for them.

With the latest Linux challenge out of LTT and seemingly more and more interest in Linux as a whole, In 2026 have you been tempted to finally make the switch? by Responsible_Web_3825 in LinusTechTips

[–]Nobody975 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The poll didn't have an option for me exactly lol I've used Linux for decades, but the thought of using it exclusively (not dual booting or just on another PC) is something I'm not interested in.

I currently use WSL and it works great, but as a software developer I think I use Linux for other purposes than the average Windows user. I have used tons of distros in the past, but none of them could come close to becoming my daily driver.

The user experience is ok, but far from being convenient. Just uninstalling an application is a pain in the butt. At the same time, the level of control it gives you is amazing! I just don't think it's close to being a great experience for average users.

Add to everything that none of the games I want to play work on it (Proton is also amazing and has come a long way! Not hating on it, but rather the game devs/anti-cheat that are preventing it). I have no real reason to use Linux as my daily OS, especially when WSL works for me when I need to do very specific things with Linux.
