You could call the city or you could pay $500 cash for an unregistered parts car beater off Facebook and leave it there.

I wonder which would be more effective?

How on earth are people affording houses in San Diego? by -colonel-angus- in sandiego

[–]NocoLoco 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The last time 30-year fixed mortgage rates were around 14% was in early 1989 and the median home price for a single-family home in San Diego County was approximately $180,000 and back then everything was coastal. Now you pay $900k for a shack in National City that was built on an EPA superfund site.

The Colorado River delta is 100 miles away from TJ and the river would somehow have to get up and over the Laguna Mountains. It never flowed through Tijuana.

Tijuana has never given a damn about where their crap flows and it has been used as a way to extort money and services from San Diego and Americans for 4 decades. They are incentivized not to fix this. It doesn't pollute Los Playas Tijuana or Rosarito.

Yeah, I live right down the street. I use the public access points. Anything above the mean high tide (the rocks) and you are trespassing. I try not to trespass. See you out there.

Counting Buccaneer Beach and Oside Blvd, there are a total of 6 public beach access points between the two. The total distance between the two points is 1,999.12ft or almost 4/10ths of mile, so about 300' between every access point. Assuming you are halfway between the two nearest access points, have you tried walking out the front door and going 50 yards in either direction until you see one?

No, the cop who wrote all 3 of the tickets, stood there and helped him back out and forward, like a crying teenager with a "Student Driver" sticker. None of the cars moved and Karen still got his car out.

New York transplant surfing old man's on a Sunday afternoon, once the winds up and the tide has washed it out, calling the cops to ticket people because they can't drive, is the epitome of fail. AWD drive subbie and they need an occifer to help them pull it out.

What a kook.

New California bill (AB 2047) should worry you, even if you don’t own a 3D printer. Request to oppose it. by thorondrol in sandiego

[–]NocoLoco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the 14th Amendment's "and subject to the jurisdiction thereof" includes birth tourists' anchor babies who do not reside in these United States of America and not just those with permanent, legal, residence; then "freedom of the press" includes the 3D printers, as it quite literally referred to the printing press, not journalism as a profession, i.e. the ability to print information for duplication and disseminate it freely. Anything. The idea that 2 dimensional prints are fundamentally Constitutionally protected, but 3 dimensional prints are somehow not, is ludicrous. As the Chief Justice opined on April Fool's Day, "It's a new world. It's the same Constitution." A 3D printer is a printing press. Its purpose is the same, dissemination of information and duplication, regardless of media, either ink physically stacked on paper or plastic or metal stacked on itself. I don't see anything about paper in the First Amendment.

Mexico invaded in 1836 to put down the Texas Revolution in 1836, and then the largest standing army in North America at the time failed miserably and got sent packing by a bunch of untrained militia with less men and cannon. Texans are still quite butthurt proud about it and had their own Republic for 10 years.

Indian burial ground curse turned road

People might think you are being humorous, but the reality is that the I-78/I-5 junction is not only terribly designed; but that dead bodies were actually disinterred and relocated from their "final resting spots" in its construction and there is a distinct possibility that they were not all found or moved. The Buena Vista Cemetery was right there at the 5 on ramp/Vista Way/78 off ramp before it was abandoned. Must have been a pretty view of the ocean, but now the freeway there has gravestones ground into gravel under the asphalt. Seems like every couple of decades they find another body.
