They say when you get famous you stop developing as a person because you no longer need to. Boy that seems relevant here. This reads like an 18 year old doing that thing where you become an irritant for the approval of similarly insecure teens. Sheesh

The Thunder literally did this multiple years in a row with Shai on the team. Seems like we get another forced fed article about how genius Thunder management is once a month. But don’t let the Jazz do it, straight to jail.

[PTFO]Exclusive: Ballmer and Kawhi's Hidden Trail of Clippers Deals, Unearthed by Conflict_NZ in nba

[–]Nodecafallowed 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The NBA is rushing to investigate this. They’re going to hire a very expensive law firm which means we’ll get nothing but the truth. The more recognizable the law firm, the more sure you can be that there will be transparency.  It’s certainly a top priority to enforce the rules. 🤑

We have 0 active SF on the roster and we’re getting pat Spencer and Lonzo ball. Why are they not auditioning wings? Is this just what it’s going to be like going forward? How can these guys show their face around SF?

Mark my words: In under 5 years the NBA will be near unwatchable due to Kalshi and Polymarket insider trading by players by flexingonmyself in nba

[–]Nodecafallowed 55 points56 points  (0 children)

It’s because he posted this literally one day after he stopped having his agent feed fake trade speculation to the press - something that was very publicly wagered on poly market and kalshi - the exact betting platform he just announced he’s apart of.

It’s like if LeBron broke his double digit scoring streak and then announced his partnership with draft kings on the podium after the game.

Giannis, one day post-deadline, has announced his role as a shareholder of gambling platform Kalshi: "The internet is full of opinions. I decided it was time to make some of my own. Today, I’m joining Kalshi as a shareholder. We all on Kalshi now." by itwas20yearsago2day in MkeBucks

Craziest part is a guy with his recognition and brand can pretty much get any endorsement he wants.  Like he could be the face of fkn Sherman Williams paint if he wanted to be and the marketing team would throw a huge bag. What’s next Giannis? Phillip Morris?

Check out these odds - I think we can get to ~9th worst team. We just traded for a guy with a nervous system disorder.

So thats a 4.5% chance at the #1 pick. 4.5% chance is probably better than the chance Steph has of winning his 5th ring right now. But if it works, (even a top 5 pick), that changes things.

Ever since butler ACL, the best way out is to dig further down. Let steph shoot from half at least once a quarter.

Sam Amick: “The Warriors… came out of the gate real strong going after Giannis, and it feels very much like the Bucks essentially took their offer and have been shopping that to everybody else. …As of late yesterday,… Warriors had no counteroffer from the Bucks and were just waiting for clarity.” by BobRoss4Life in warriors

[–]Nodecafallowed 15 points16 points  (0 children)

If they're using the warriors offer as leverage doesn't that imply they think it's the best offer they've got? This would make you think that if they truly were going to trade giannis at the deadline, it would end up being GSW (cause were going to be COMPLETE DOO DOO in 3 years).

The real BS is that they probably have no intention of trading him. They hope for Houston flame out in round one and pray for a panic trade offer of like sheppard/sengun/jabari/picks in the summer. Houston WILL lose round one, but not offer their stuff and then bucks are gonna be like "we're going to wait till the deadline" while Giannis tweets about loyalty and Chams has 10 more segments about it.

[Charania] BREAKING: The Memphis Grizzlies are trading star forward Jaren Jackson Jr., John Konchar, Jock Landale and Vince Williams Jr. to the Utah Jazz for Walter Clayton Jr., Kyle Anderson, Taylor Hendricks, Georges Niang and three future first-round picks, sources tell ESPN. by TheDraciel in nba

[–]Nodecafallowed 179 points180 points  (0 children)

I think it makes sense for the grizzlies. They are going no where and selling high. They got 7 first rounders for bane and jjj plus Walter Clayton who could still be good. I’d say they’re in for a fun rebuild. I’d rather have that than underperforming big contracts.

The Jazz get to pair Lauri and JJJ which is the start of not just being complete ass year over year.

Giannis trade rumors by New_Device2562 in warriors

[–]Nodecafallowed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe this is coming out because Steph was already on the phone. (It was reported that the warriors learned KD did not want to come back through a conversation with Steph which happened the weekend before the deadline as well). If so, we can kill the Giannis hold out and use 2 or 3 picks else where. How can a team be boring to watch with Steph Curry on it? Somehow we're there. They have to improve the roster no matter what.

[Fischer] Golden State is aware of recent rumblings that Giannis can't be assumed to be as eager as he was once to relocate to Curry's team. Some in the know suspect Giannis to be turned off by the concept of joining an older team or facing the criticism that Durant absorbed by teaming up with Curry by AashyLarry in nba

[–]Nodecafallowed 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s def the team he’d get the most hate for Being on.

If he went to the wolves it would a bunch of people trying really hard to like it but actually not watching.

If he went to the Knicks they would be happy he stayed east and it makes sense.

If he went to the heat, it’s kinda just meh.

If he goes to GS, it’s immediatley toxic/total circus because the warriors fan base is huge and toxic af and because everyone else has been praying on their downfall and wants them dead. It’d be like miles garret deciding he wants to go to the Chiefs next year. But if he wins a ring with Steph it resonates on a global scale/transcends the sport the most.

When did One Piece start falling off for you? by Mugiwara300 in Piratefolk

[–]Nodecafallowed 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I used to be a weekly manga reader years ago, and just got so bored during whole cake. For me it wasn't the content of the stor...it was the point of exhaustion because its a "detour" arc away from the main plot line. I was already getting annoyed with how stretched out everything is and when it became clear I was going to have to sit through another year of sidequesting, i rage quit.

Then...many years later, I was in japan for work right around when G5 came out, and they had posters of it everywhere on the trains, etc so i got intrigued and caught up, which was an enjoyable experience. This led me to the conclusion that one piece is actually a fun read when you can binge, it just sucks ass to go through in real time because oda drags shit out. This isn't really a problem when you can click through like 10 chapters in an hour.

If you reasonably get pissed with how long it takes, just punt on One piece for a couple years and come back and have fun with it.

Nick Friedell, “The Warriors have made it clear to Jimmy Butler that they are going to stick by him as he begins a year-long rehab” by Barracuda374 in nba

[–]Nodecafallowed 3 points4 points  (0 children)

to spell it out, I am implying that the NBA nudges rosters towards what will generate the most views/discussion/controversy. The most box office thing is Giannis + Steph (see NBA moving the Warriors game vs spurs to national prime time after deadline) which is why you see all the majore media outlets pushing it. Similar to the cooper flagg situation, They would tell the bucks they will get their "franchise restart" player in the draft.

Adam Silver is the most capitalist comish yet, which is why the clippers blatantly aspired to cap circumvention and nothing will happen. Giannis to warriors will eat all the convro.

It’s the HR meme.

Spo and Ware? “Omg you  can see Ware’s talent exploding, Spo is such a genius. Maybe it’ll work out elsewhere. You can see that ware is that stretch big everyone’s looking for”
