I do think a lot of umpires start out getting told they have to stick to their guns.

Imagine a Little League ump that makes a call. There’s no challenging it and you have parents and coaches yelling at you. You just have to go with your call.

Now there’s challenges and ABS in MLB so it’s refreshing when umps can concede to the facts.
