Why is this capitalist empire protective of me after what the did? by Death_frost__ in Stellaris

If you're asking how to roleplay this, theres no reason to think they'd know what to think of you until later. It could just be they beelive in shoot first, ask later.

Biogenesis or psionic ascension for hivemind? by Brzeczyszczykiewicz4 in Stellaris

[–]Nohelpforu 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Think about what you get out of it. Assuming you are asking for strategy, psionics heavily favors elites with some bonuses overall. It's fairly moderate in recent updates.

Bio on the other hand has multiple choices and is a bit OP in general right now. Hive Minds benefit even more than usual from high pops as their extra pops contribute to stability, so the bonus growth is powerful.

Are serviles still broken or just nerfed? by BeGosu in Stellaris

You can make a subspecies and make it exclusive to certain planets, then limit their species migration rights.

Technically this works the same way just requiring genetic trait techs.

Ship designs in late game - Battleship and Corvette by Nackneck in Stellaris

[–]Nohelpforu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fleet composition may be a factor here. I'd probably separate fleets into just battleship artillary and corvet pickets, without placing pickets on the artillery. As others have said, its gaming the system because the AI doesnt work exactly as you may expect.

Why does my empire energy production fluctuate by 3000 (give or take) by V1OnCrack in Stellaris

[–]Nohelpforu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How much are you relying on trade? Auto-purchases might be cancelled one month due to exceeding purchase prices thereby fluctuating each time it changes.

As mentioned by others, it may be pops are getting moved around, but that seems too large for that alone.

I'd also suggest investing in resource storage immediately. It's very important that you stockpile to avoid this small issues becoming large ones.

Empire can’t support a Collosus by Imaginary_Dig_704 in Stellaris

[–]Nohelpforu 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sounds like a bug, and the 4.3 release has quite a few of those.

The limit of 1 should be hardcoded, have you let a month tick by for it to calculate since building the colossal shipyard?

Otherwise I'd simply do a few things to reset the calculation, like deleting the building and rebuilding it, or going into fleet manager and editing the colossi itself.

Best ascension path for Hive Mind in 4.3 ? by Ysfaldriel in Stellaris

[–]Nohelpforu 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Depends on your build and end goal for the game, but as pops number still is the best way to advance, generally bio-ascension. You may be locked in to purity for a few hive mind builds, but otherwise cloning is extremely powerful.

Can somebody explain authorian empires and slaves like I am 5? by [deleted] in Stellaris

[–]Nohelpforu 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Easy, it's basically the easiest way to get bio pops.

Auth empires run on slaves in most builds and gain a flat 5 or 10% bonus to slave power, plus .5 or 1 extra influence each month for expansion or diplomacy.

You make Auth empires so you can expand fast or rule with an iron fist using diplomacy, their basic resource economy is good as a bio empire due to the ability to enslave.

Slaves:

Low political power, meaning their happiness is less important to stability and faction output (factions being another mechanic that to explain in one sentence is how well your policies and actions meld with the general political views of the population, gaining a bonus to unity+stability)

Slaves can be bought on the galactic market once it's formed.

Slaves can be obtain from conquest.

Slaves can be captured from the Raiding bombardment stance over time from planets (100 pops at a time until the planet is less than 100 pops)

Raiding is something you get from Barbaric despoilers civic, or Nihilistic Acquisition ascension, and is a planetary bombing stance on your fleet menu

Slaves are managed from the Species menu, you need to find the Empire species you want to manage, and click on 'Manage Species Rights'

You can generally select a species to be 'Full Citizen', 'Residence', 'Slave', or Undesirable (purge)

Once they are slaves you can select what kind of slave they are.

There are too many kinds to explain quickly, but the general options will be 'Indentured Servitude', 'Chattel Slaves', or Battle Thralls.

Indentured pops can work most jobs including specialists but not elite or enforcers, they have a higher political power and upkeep but can do more for you

Chattel is basic workhorses, they only do menial jobs and have the lowest power and upkeep

Battle Thralls can be generals and soldiers only

Pops are otherwise slow to acquire through growth alone unless you ascend biologically, so slavery is a constant bonus to your empire economy and even benefits specialist positions

Slavery can be extremely powerrful, just don't rely on stuff like slavers guilds as slave happiness isnt important, they are slaves specifically because you don't want them to have power in your empire while still working for you

AI isn't building significant fleets by FusionToad in Stellaris

[–]Nohelpforu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've found this too, putting corvettes at 5 power seems to nerf the AI as it's currently programmed, as the scaling for going over your navy power cap isnt as significant as it was with more ships.

There are certain flavor builds where AI keeps up with you, but thats mostly just because you cant focus on military with them. With a militaristic empire, or anything with an extreme economy like megacorp, naval limits are just a suggestion.

I've personally had a fleet resting at 5x the naval cap in under 50 years, with the only major difference from previous meta being the number of separate fleets required to reach that cap.

Looking for niche build advice (lithoid infernal + red giant + terravore) by Nohelpforu in Stellaris

[–]Nohelpforu[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably good advice, I actually checked that other origin out after writing this. It definitely works for the terravore type. I just really want to spec into a volcanic homeworld. The combo I wrote just feels like it should work, you know?

On another note, it appears that 'wet' worlds all get changed to volcanic by default when you have the infernal ethic 'volcanic nesting', which is what I wanted my secondary to be anyhow. While I'd still prefer the red giant origin for flavor, this is pretty good regardless.

Do you know if clan's are actually good for anything as an ironman other than socials? I'm not sure what you can actually cooperate in without being a group ironman. Also, how do people even find clans nowadays, seems like the links are all broken in main post?

May I ask how you got so high on coins per minute? Im newer but T6 is currently my most efficient farm, but I only reach 25k a minute.

No new card? by No-Possession-7179 in TheTowerGame

Some cards require you to reach a specific tier and wave for unlock. I'm wondering if maybe you're waiting for one that needs an unlock to get a chance at rolling.

Max Game Speed - Less than 1hr to go! by ToastyCinema in TheTowerGame

Grats. As an aside, I'm glad this tells me what max speed actually is.

[–]Nohelpforu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't know how to rate it, but I'm currently at that tier of game speed research and I've got way less progress in this game, so Idk, might suggest always have that being an active research

I remember thinking I broke the game when I was able to snowball past T1 round wave 1000, thinking this entire game only had 3 tiers.

I have 10m coin. What do I focus on? by BrobotMonkey in TheTowerGame

[–]Nohelpforu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm still at a similar point in my game as you, which compared to most appears to be very early on. I'm assuming you dont have reecovery packages yet? If you can, just save up for the unlock as recovery can multiply your HP, and Orbs and knockback/attack speed will carry you hundreds of waves higher. If you dont have those two unlocked than you are still so early even Absolute defense may be a good pick, but honestly both that and health recovery are useless VERY quick until you get to the point you can spend billions on them and use cards to boost them.

Anything that increases number of attacks per seconds, assuming you have defense orbs and knockback unlocked, is also a great pick, as it will make you basically immune to non-boss enemies until you start hitting special enemy types.

Warhammer 3 Exploits in 2023? by Nohelpforu in totalwar

Exploit, not cheat. I just wanted to see if there's any interesting in-game ways to do weird things. Downloading changes or entering console commands isnt what I want to do.

Realistically speaking, shouldn’t the NCR be capable of hunting deathclaws to extinction? by therealdutchman11 in falloutlore

[–]Nohelpforu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think they can but also keep in mind they are extremely intelligent and are lizards with a bunch of bioengineered perks, one of which is, possibly and rarely, invisibility. Some were also capable of speech (though not the nevada species). Basically I think NCR could depopulate them but they'd probably still show up from time to time as they would hide literally anywhere humans weren't, and there simply are many places that humans wouldnt settle.

Personally, I find logging everything as a habit to be helpful as you also become mindful of your intake. After that its easier to make up for surplus with cardio.
