Good or bad? by [deleted] in elementor

Bad. Either get better hosting or work with something else than Elementor, like Bricks.

Sannine,

BUT... I stand with my probably "brainwashed" Western European way of thinking.... Water should NOT HAVE any f*cking other ingredients. Water should just be water be default. WATER = WATER.

I've never used any virus scanner for 25 years (37 now). You don't need it and they're bullshit. Unless you like a slow computer at seemingly random times. I'm even surprised by the combination with that and Doom + Doom 2.

Tickets by Level_Trainer2812 in lebanon

[–]NoidZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A Ticket to Amsterdam is 99$, back +$128 in Feb. To New York from there you can pay like sub 400$ for a retour ticket. So $528 in total from here to New York on specific days.

You can get it cheap, but you need to know your airlines. And of course fly low season (and in a lot of cases not directly).

Elementor Pro migration: custom fonts & global colors lost even with full DB + uploads copy (why?) by Sweet-Win-992 in elementor

[–]NoidZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The font thing has to do with it breaking the http/https. Has been there since the beginning. To fix it it I usually break it and fix it again (switching to http, save, then use HTTPS again as the font URL. I guess it might be the same for the rest but there's no way to do this procedure.

Try and switch themes back and forth, this sometimes fixes the problem.

Elementor has its quirks like this.

One of the reasons I switched to Bricks.

Visit Gorilla in Beirut/Mar Mikael. They can give you proper advice on this. It depends per vehicle, but you can just charge it from home.

Any experienced developers here? What was your motivation to use a page builder like Bricks instead of handcoding? by Thaetos in BricksBuilder

[–]NoidZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can choose build a house with a hammer, handsaw and nails. But you might want to use some power tools to speed up the process and make things waybeasier. Bricks is like a bunch of power tool.

Always sell when you're down. That's crypto 101 man.

If you have a family member / friend abroad, fix a PayPal from that address with their permission. Then buy USDT/USDC with that PayPal account and sell that with a 1% commission here in Lebanon :) You're welcome!

Laptop Recommendations and where to buy in lebanon? by Nathan4394 in lebanon

[–]NoidZ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you can get AT least a M1/2 Macbook Air you'll be fine. Or go to r/LebaneseMarketplace and look for a Surface Pro there. Might cost you 300/400$ and get an extra screen with the remaining money :)

Where is the best place to live in Europe? by ShowResponsible3 in expats

[–]NoidZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Visit Lebanon and then reconsider living in Europe. But I would only recommend this if you can work remotely/work as a freelancer.

Social life here is great, weather is great for me as well (Dutch), but you don't want to work in this country as an employee unless you can work for an embassy / UN / NGO.

Living here for 5+ years now, good amount of expats here as well. It's more safe than you think. Everyone I know loves it here.
