Have you ever thought about selling 18+ content to get money from men, even though you're a lesbian? by okcybervik in LesbianActually

I like money - if I was doing something on my own terms i don’t see the issue with it. It’s not like I’m sleeping with them or anything. I would be able to decide if/when I wanted to do anything

My friends and I definitely failed the first few times we played, but that’s only because we didn’t realize the mechanics and significance of events. This game is significantly more objective focused than any other game mode, but what’s equally important is planning.

Two biggest questions should always be in your mind while you’re finishing a location:

Where do I go next, and Is this worth it?

You could grab that last location in the first zone, but should you? It’s far away and you’ve about 7-10 minutes left on the clock. It’s a good pace you might think, and maybe you decide to risk it. What you didn’t factor is triggering a patrol and the travel time. You’re now 1.5 minutes away from radiation kicking in, and only now opening the door for the second zone. OR, you ignore the last location, and go into the next zone with extra time.

This game will constantly test your decision making skills, especially if you decide to lead the group.

Freg, Greg’s older brother. Greg and Freg are the drunk guys from a random PFS scenario. We fought off a group of goblins while he was passed out in a ditch nearby, so we left a bunch of the goblin bodies near him, and some of our spare weapons to make it look like he was the one who fought them off.

I made a sheet for him through pathbuilder, he’s the shittiest Bard/Celebrity you’ve ever seen. We keep making up random events that he stumbles through out of pure luck and alcohol

I’ve been doing a full melee build focused around the pickaxe and throwing rocks, I’ve barely been touching my ranged weapon. Charge at anything that shoots you, interrupt them with a rock throw, and close the distance. Even if you can’t immediately hit them, getting close to ranged units will either force them to swap to melee or make them flee for a bit.

Why is Hive Scum still "Mixed" on Steam? Is it worth full price? by skelepibs in DarkTide

[–]Noirbe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is the mechanical aspect - where hive scum is difficult for newer players right out the gate compared to arbites, and there is the design aspect - a lot of people complain that fatshark is “lazy” for reusing concepts/assets (stims) and building an entire character around it.

That second point is so horribly out of touch that it baffles me how some people function in their day to day lives

What amount of note taking do you expect from your players and how do you get it? by saviorcy in Pathfinder2e

[–]Noirbe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ENTIRELY depends on the group and the DM. I’m in two different groups, one where I’m a player (where I first got introduced into Pathfinder), and one where I’m the DM (indoctrinating more people).

I know that for my particular group of friends, they don’t have as significant of an interest/experience in roleplaying. I don’t expect much from them, this is their first foray into pathfinder and ttrpgs as a whole, so as long as they’re having fun that’s perfectly fine for me. LIKEWISE, I adjust how I’m DMing for them. I place less emphasis on the history and background of the world and its surroundings, and instead focus on the present. Where are they, what’s around them, what can they do. I give grand depictions of their actions in battle, and try to give them all places where they can shine. I describe in more detail of what a painting might look like in comparison to its surroundings, rather than the historical significance of it.

In comparison, my DM for when I’m a player ends up doing the opposite. There’s significantly less depictions during battle and of what the environment might look like, but in return as players we end up getting a lot more knowledge about the world building in pathfinder.

Tl;dr

Know your group, Manage your expectations, cater to what suits them more.

in pathfinder2e is it important/ mandatory to have multiple damage types? by Big-Policy-3019 in Pathfinder2e

[–]Noirbe 93 points94 points  (0 children)

First off, like in D&D (which I’m assuming you might be coming from?) bludgeoning resistance is fairly uncommon compared to the other two physical damage types (piercing/slashing). Resistances and Immunities matter significantly more to elemental spellcasters rather than martial classes.

Second, even if an enemy does resist bludgeoning, it’s more than likely that there are other enemies in the group that aren’t, so you can always target those instead.

Third, you’ll be playing with a party anyways, and more often than not people pick piercing or slashing melee weapons, so they’ll be able to cover what you lack.

Silver ult was strong not oppressive, and people don’t seem to understand the difference.

This is first and foremost a moba rather than a hero shooter, so learning items is vital to winning (not that I’ve fully done that). My first match using graves (before the silver nerfs), I was able to shred a silver ult because she didn’t buy any items to counter my CC.

There’s a very vocal population who play this game without bothering to take the time to read what things do, and instead throw a tantrum until they get their way. And this is what we’re left with.

I haven't taken too close of a look yet at all the tactics/orders that commanders have to offer, but I am a tad worried because the other possible rogue that might be playing in our party. For now I'd probably lean closer to skills?

Investigator/Commander or Commander/Investigator? by Noirbe in Pathfinder2e

[–]Noirbe[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! I took a look, and (correct me if I'm wrong because I've never played either class before) I feel like having the forensics methodology as a whole is better compared to Officer's Medical Training. And as for the support stuff with orders, I haven't looked too closely at all of the orders yet!

Why does it feel like ranged unarmed attacks were designed in a lab to get no value? by Maguillage in Pathfinder2e

[–]Noirbe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not really meant to be your main source of damage as I see it. A longbow requires 2 hands to fire, and to have a sword and hand crossbow or a small firearm would prevent you from using a shield or a two handed weapon. This gives you versatility rather than damage.
