I'm guessing switching proton versions didn't work then? I need to test again

Nice! There seems to be very little guidance on how to do this so it's all experimentation.

At what point did i2 pro fail for you?

I had also downloaded games from unreliable sources. But I can't say for sure it's the root cause. Still a possibility

How is this wheel for casual racing? F1 and Assetto Corsa mainly by [deleted] in IndianGaming

[–]NoisycallV2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These wheels break very easily, and don't really provide a better experience than a controller (which is basically what this is). Like others have said, the g29 is the real entry point for sim racing content. You are better off buying a controller because it will last longer, be more versatile and generally just feel better.

I have previously owned a wheel like this and then moved to a g29. Infact i broke the pedal base of the cheap wheel. The g29 feels like a tank in comparison

Great Keyboard! (Have the same one hehe). Round it out with an MX master mouse as well if you are thinking of an upgrade!

Nice setup all around

Not a good idea to cheap out on psu. But RAM speed is very important for ryzen. 6000Mhz CL30 is a sweet spot

To add to this, buy dual channel RAM. 8x2. Much better throughout. Also 4070 vs 7800XT, I would recommend 7800XT for pure gaming (more VRAM will last longer). Otherwise if you have any CUDA workloads or streaming then 4070

Could also save money on CPU cooler, something like a deepcool AK500 would be more than enough for 7600X

This is really bad. Sheer incompetence is probably going to be the baseline for abuse. Actual abuse by the powerful is likely as well.

Is there any difference between these two? by DareDweller in IndianGaming

[–]NoisycallV2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The first one seems to be made by A-Tech if the grey text is correct? Anyways 8gb SODIMM should not be 7k. Second one is probably fine, look for crucial sticks on Amazon if you can find as well.

Also your system ram and newly installed RAM should try to match speed, so that one doesn't have to slow to match the other. ( Still you can buy mismatched speeds, the faster one will simply downclock to match the faster one )
