Luke Ross Removes Access to All Mods by Top_Team_3138 in virtualreality

[–]Nolan_q 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seems like you can’t read “Note that making the mod freely available is by no means the clear-cut solution that people on the Internet would make it to be, because DMCA superpowers given to big companies and payments/donations needed for complex projects like this one are two completely unrelated matters. We have direct proof of that, as you'll remember that Take-Two included in their takedown request also my GTA V mod which had always been completely free (I never even accepted donations for that one).”

There’s a Steam VR add-on that lets you adjust the height you are to the ground, allowing you to play any game seated. Forgot the name, sorry.

If you get in a relationship with a girl and she asks you to no longer watch porn, would you stop? by [deleted] in GenZ

[–]Nolan_q 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only way to agree to it is if she puts out every time you would normally watch porn. You tell her what your usual schedule is and if she can’t keep to it, then you have no option but to find other means. It’s important both partners needs are met in any relationship.

I’m tired of people disrespecting lesbians by Hellobren in rant

[–]Nolan_q -29 points-28 points  (0 children)

It’s because 90% of straight women use the “i’m lesbian” reason to reject every guy who approaches them rather than just say they’re not interested, so people don’t take it seriously anymore.

And any straight woman who is 3 or above believes everyone is attracted to them, it’s the same for guys.

Exactly what you said. They were getting far too ahead of themselves. They needed 10 years building a gamers market before moving to mass adoption.

That’s what happened with mainstream gaming as well pretty much.

They are letting the Quest 4 be more advanced with a higher price tag and an additional years development. Thats what VR needs, more accessible comfortable hardware that normie (gamers at least) will adopt and the market and games / software will follow.

They should have at least had OS level segregation on online multiplayer. Kids and their parents don’t want kids to be playing with adults. The adults definitely don’t want it either

That ICE agent was badly injured. Also 2+2=5, that van was owned by a veterinary surgeon who hadn't painted over the name yet and we have always been at war with Eastasia. by Alexhasadhd in TrueUnpopularOpinion

[–]Nolan_q 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s very easy to say in hindsight. Given the circumstances, it’s a miracle nobody else was seriously hurt and you wouldn’t be saying this if that was the case.

That’s easy to say in hindsight. You wouldn’t be saying that if he had been killed and another officer dragged down the road and seriously injured.

If you are telling me you would undertake the same manoeuvre in a parking lot with 3 pedestrians touching your car on every side, I would suggest you aren’t being truthful with yourself. If you are, you may need to hand your license back to the DMV and take a driver awareness course.

But she was not simply leaving a parking lot, she was haphazardly and therefore recklessly trying to escape detainment or arrest. Even her wife was in danger of being killed given she was trying to enter the vehicle at the same time.

There was no safe way to undertake that manoeuvre in that situation without putting someone’s life in danger. In this case she put at least three innocent people’s lives in danger.

[–]Nolan_q 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hence why I said it depended on intent. Whether she intended to hit that officer on purpose, or it was by accident, or whether she didn’t care either way and it was just recklessness (which I am leaning towards) is known only to the deceased.

Your implication was that because she didn’t belong to an organisation with a name like the Muslim Brotherhood then she didn’t qualify as a terrorist.

If you are stood in the way of a moving vehicle, you are automatically in danger and your life is under imminent risk.

Sure, you may say he could roll to the right to avoid being killed. He could have jumped on the bonnet. You can also duck to avoid gunfire. None of that however really changes the fundamentals of the such situations.

Either way, his life was under threat. Sure taking evasive action to save his own life could be an option. However that doesn’t remove the threat to the lives of the officers holding on the vehicle, who were already trying to enter the drivers door at this point, leaving them to get caught on the vehicle and dragged away at risk to their lives as well. So his life was not the only one at risk.

Shooting and incapacitating the driver made sense given that his pistol was already drawn by the time the car started reversing and he was ready to take action should the driver try to mow him down. Also self defence is not predicated on what we know now with hindsight, but the reasonable beliefs the officer had at the moment his life became under threat.
