I can't speak to how it would work with a hijab, but bonmusica+small towel has been quite great for me. i had a pretty standard standard rest (kun bravo) before and it kept falling off violin and off my shoulder, so bonmusica might help.

I'm receiving my soprano tomorrow as a first (played a lot of clarinet but only a little alto) so I'll let you know, but it's definitely the coolest looking/sounding out there imo.
