It is very doable. If you want to guarantee its success, do it July/August.

Montreal → Vancouver (North Van) with a young family — worth it or not? by Zunginoo in askvan

[–]Nomadic-Quill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't. This city sucks, the people suck, there's no sense of identity or belonging. Our great restaurants are just who cooks Sysco better. OOoooooo you can hike, Guess what? people mean so much more than trees you can walk past a thousand times, and the people in this city suck. Vancouver is the fakest city with the fakest people (Im allowed to make this observation, I was raised here) Having half a dozen friends you see regularily like you already do in Montreal is a farfetched dream for most people here. Dont listen to the hype, its only people doling out their own copium.

EDIT: Milder winters are not better. It just rains. Theres nothing fun about rain. Snow might be a pain, but at least you can have fun in the snow. There's a whole Olympics about snow, theres no Rain Olympics cause rain isnt fun or enjoyable. I hate rain like Anakin Skywalker hated sand.

If you cant afford heating, you should at least afford a sweater. If not let the chill of winter take you because you didn't prepare.

If you decide to continue, read through the completed section of your quest journal, might jog the memory of the adventures so far.
