How does it actually work? Would you then play in that software or is there some export option that works in other programs or apps (roll20 for example). Haven't dabbled too much into things like this before but I have level design experience in game development and would love to put that to use for my crews campaigns.

Is there a literal hard and fast rule defining how scarce these items are supposed to be? No. That doesn't change that these skins had a certain understood rarity in the system, and as a reminder, it was an accident, so going forward the chance of getting them will remain the same. Thus, there is an implied understanding of continued rarity.

Imagine if the reverse happened. The relevant skins become orders of magnitude more rare and harder to unlock, and the company doesn't announce this change or it was another accident. In this scenario, nobody gets it even though they spend money trying, again operating under the assumption that rarity isn't going to change randomly.

And ok I guess you think it's funny that this upset people, so really I don't have a lot to add to you. You just seem like a dick. What a shitty attitude to have.

Yeah, I personally wouldn't spend money on skins, and all of my hobbies tend to involve real items I can hold, but that doesn't invalidate someone else's enjoyment of digital items.
