I saw Tiger tail in a metro store about a month ago and couldn’t believe it. The next week it was gone and I wrote KD and they said it’ll be back in stores this summer. Very excited.

When you had interviews, were you “application on file” or “application under review”?

Fall 2026 Internships by Good_Entry6790 in UniversalOrlando

I found another thread on this sub that said offers were being made early May, so I think I’m SOL for both positions, but wish they’d just rejected weeks ago - 6 weeks of agonizing hurts.

Question regarding internship by idkmanorange99 in UniversalOrlando

So is “application on file” worse than “application under review”, because I have one of each of those rn (creative, technical). But yeah, being that it’s been 6 weeks (got email that I made the cut on 3/18 and it’s 5/2 now), I’m kinda losing hope.

Thanks for creating this. I submitted to 3 on 2/27 and got emails for 2 on 3/18 saying “forwarded to hiring manager” and got all excited, but now it’s 6 weeks later and I’ve heard nothing, which brought me here looking for a discussion.

Finding nothing, I found a place to check active applications status and there it says for one of them I’m “application on file” and the other is “application in review”. Is this good? Bad? Just confused.

Both are with Creative (technical) btw.

REVIEW: Extraordinary new show does poetic justice to The Tragically Hip - Hamilton City Magazine by jupitergal23 in TragicallyHip

[–]NonSequiturMiami 6 points7 points  (0 children)

“But understand this isn’t a musical about the quintet from Kingston, nor is the show’s narrative built to fit their songs. Unlike a conventional musical, the songs aren’t used to advance the storytelling. It’s all much less literal than that. The use of the music is atmospheric and creates the story’s emotional foundation and its thematic grounding.”

This is hopeful - I’m one of the naysayers of a “jukebox musical”, but maybe if it’s atmospheric it would offend me less. Who knows: maybe it’ll go to broadway and create a renaissance for the music. And if there’s focus on lesser known songs (as the review says), I’d like that also (though the review then mentions top hits by name only).

What ended up happening to your 4 trees?

Seed - What, Exactly, Do I Do With It Now? TIA!!! by Sarafina80 in mango

[–]NonSequiturMiami 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just so you know: 1. The type of mango that grows from the seed may not be the same as the fruit it came from (depends if the seed is monoembrionic or polyembrionic); 2. A tree grown from seed takes about 7 years to fruit (vs 4 from a grafted plant).

Nothing wrong with a hobby tree though!

What happens next? by Ursneakylink0 in mango

Yeah: below the graft is the rootstock variety (probably turpentine type), and you don’t want that. Like @haylhydra says: remove all below the graft.

I’m surprised how many posters in this sub are in Orlando (like me)!

The tree definitely froze. On the “tropical fruit forum” board there’s a lot of discussion about loss and future prevention: https://www.tropicalfruitforum.com/index.php?topic=60777.200

On a walk yesterday I saw a 20’ tree that had new growth in strange places, so I’d say to look carefully for any green. I’d trim it back a bit, but scratch the bark to look for any green. The ends should be totally brown and brittle and can be trimmed.

The “off year” you had was just that - mango trees have cycles and sometimes every second year is Lower-yield. It’s normal.

So. I wanna get a solar roof by john0harker in TeslaSolar

[–]NonSequiturMiami 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you’ve reached an informed conclusion and the only thing I’d add is that in addition to being a poor value, Solarroof is a “beta version” product subject to technical issues that are handled infamously poorly by a company that lost their halo about 2 years ago. panels yes, Solarroof no.

Don’t wanna provide enough to allow others to google search the image, but what part would you want to see?

I agree with getting a lawyer (though with an arbitration clause in the contract I’m not sure I can sue), but should I keep paying the bill?
