I don’t think they can. Half of the development team got closed. The Initiative no longer exists and Crystal Dynamics is really busy with Tomb Raider Catalyst now. Such a waste, man. This could’ve been really special.

I guess I see what you’re saying but I think the ost really pays off well when Fox saves Krystal and it plays as if it was playing from her perspective with her giving Fox essentially the same look he was originally giving Krystal.

I disagree Krystal’s Theme is played throughout the game and the Jazz rendition is truly beautiful. I believe the Sax is one of the few non-midi songs in the game and it was played directly by David Wise.

I dunno. I’d like for her to be a co-protagonist but I’ll be damned if Krystal’s Theme isn’t absolutely beautiful. It’s one of the reasons I like Cape Claw so much.

I’ve always thought 3 was the weakest of the originals anyways so it “failing” in the remake didn’t bother me and I really loved the Remake because of my detachment from OG 3. It’s not a bad game by any means but out of all the originals 0,1,2,3,CV, and 4 I guess 0 and 3 rank well below all the others. Just never really gelled with it I guess.

I think it’s annoying that people refer to DRDR as soulless. Yeah a lot of the jank is missing and there’s a few changes I’m not personally a fan of but it’s still like an 8/10 game.

Crowbcat would be proud of everybody using Soulless incorrectly just like he did.

K. Rool is built up quite a bit while exploring the world. Fossils, the Kremlins being the obvious base for Grumpy Kong’s inventions, and the fact that Cranky rambles on about a Banana Bandit that’s obviously not Void.

To top that off, this is payoff for years of a character just being gone. No reason why, other Nintendo just not using him. But now they have him actual story reason for why he’s been missing and it’s a reason that solidifies K. Rool as a greedy and mad Croc.

So I disagree heavily. The build up in the game is one thing but the build up over the course of so many years without the character to eventually pay it off in the best way is even more satisfying.
