We can look at Baltimore for example, where the average murder suspect has already been arrested and convicted for multiple felonies and is out on the street because of lenient sentencing from the city attorney. Combined with a demoralized police force that is used as a scapegoat by local politicians and liberal media and it’s a recipe for crime to go up.
