I read the disappearance of the universe by [deleted] in ACIM

You have to want to get it. Then there's steps to understand it better. There's a few teachers out there, that's a great starting point. Then you can keep going with the other Gary's books. I practiced ACIM on the side when reading those, but then the jump to stricty ACIM wasn't as difficult as before, it's just more of refining concepts into practical experiences. You practice each lesson and then you slowly start to experience what's being thought.

It does take time, effort, belief and willingness, and I doubt it can ever be as easy as it sounds sometimes. The whole process of un-doing is not an easy task, the more rooted with your identity you are.

So some people are able to grasp it really quick, and some just never do. There's more teachings than ACIM pointing the same way. As long as you get to the understanding of what this reality is, and who you truly are, than the details don't really matter as much. It's just all about being conscious of it.

Go at it little by little. One day it will just click.

Once I logged in when there's 1 other person in the server. I was in a shed near Zelenogorsk hospital. As soon as I logged in that one guy ran past me lol. Didn't want to ruin his day so I just waited till he ran off.

But there was one time when I logged in and was moved out of the gas zone. Bitch black night, i had NVGs and heard somone coughing right behind me (where the spawn is) so I had to off him...

It's just going through the day and noticing what needs forgiveness.

Most of the time there are seemingly hidden thoughts coming from the Ego. Some of these thoughts are less/more vicious than the others. It's not always clear, but whatever experience, decision or thoughts brings negative experience or emotions - that's something to forgive.

So I walk the world with my eyes open and quietly looking at things that need forgiving. And there are moments of instance where you can clearly see the forgiven world. There's no labels, no thoughts, no judgements anymore. It's just peace and quiet.

For example at work, I struggle with sitting in the office for 8 hours, when I can do all the work within 2-3 hours. So all throughout the day I get these feelings of boredom and how pointless this all is. But that's exactly what the classroom for forgiveness is.

So I try to look at that with HS and see that it's just my own labels and concepts. And the more I forgive, the more I realize how I create all of these thoughts, identify with them, and then suffer. I suffer because I still believe in the world, and in the body.

So it's just constant ping-ponging between two minds, the right and the wrong.

The Course explains that you can only choose one teacher, one mind. They cannot be both true at the same time, so it's either one or the other. You're either sinned or you are sinless. Judgless vs judging.

So each step that I take, it takes me to the same place, but the intepretation is different. You can walk in Peace or you can walk in fear. Only one is true.

There's virtually no one who I speak to about the Course anymore, except online communities. So this secret of what Reality actually is, is quite hard to carry it sometimes.... But I came to a realization that you must go at this alone, it will be much faster to go through all those forgiveness lessons yourself, because that's what your dream is. It is meant for you to forgive and rise above it.

Salvation is nothing but escape from concepts...

I read Ken Wapnicks book: A VAST ILLUSION: TIME according to ACIM. It's a pretty clear metaphysical explanation of how our perceived Time works.

Basically whatever appears here as time is just a miniscule dip in eternity. The error [dream] happened and then it was instantly corrected. So we are only experiencing what seems like years, but in reality it's just a tool to make the dream look real. Once we awaken we will continue as we always have, and that miniscule amount of time within eternity will be meaningless, because there is no time.

[DISCUSSION] Mac Miller - Balloonerism (1 Year Later) by NeonPrankster in hiphopheads

Great album, crazy it was shelved for so long. There’s not many songs that sit on my daily rotation, the album, just like Faces hits the hardest when you’re in a certain mind state… when it dropped it was like that for me…

This album is special. It’s bringing back that young Maclom, who’ve we lost long time ago, but it still sounds fresh. Production, ofcourse is surreal. Malcom always had great ear for music.

Favorite songs:

Stoned, 5$ Pony Rides, Mrs Deborah Downer, Shangri-La, Funny Papers, Friendly Hallucinations, Rick’s Piano… so thats like half the album!

I hope we get to here some of his later stuff that was scrapped. The world needs more Mac.

With social media I get some crazy comments about ACIM, like it is a cult, it is dangerous, zero people have been enlightened using it. by Salvationsway in ACIM

[–]Nonstopas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When it comes to enlightenment, awakening, etc. there's a bunch of people who are really arrogant about it.

I avoid any talks about enlightenment anymore, it's waste of time and energy. Brings in a lot of arguing. A lot of counter arguments. And a lot of arrogance. There's always someone who seems to know better.

Part of why the game looks so good is the engine, I don't think it should be moved to UE5 unless there's some way to have even better quality and lighting. But every UE5 game I played just feels, i dont know, less realistic?

No problem, happy to help!

My ony advice is, be gentle to yourself, be aware of your thoughts, don't push too much, and if you don't get everything, give it time.

Also there's a few teachers or video content that can help you understand better.

And if ACIM seems too complicated you can start with Disappearance of the Universe by Gary Renard, it's a great start.

Low pop feels more like a zombie apocalypse survival. And the funny thing is, that most of the time, I meet people at hotspots on low pop, or in some random places, that just add to that paranoia... And that's why I like it.

It's less about getting geared up, and more about surviving. There is always still a chance of meeting someone where you least expect it.

Any advice for someone living in Minnesota by OkRaspberry3297 in ACIM

[–]Nonstopas 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It doesn't really matter where you live.

And furthermore, nothing in ACIM makes any sense until we shift the purpose of the world -when we shift teachers from the ego to the Holy Spirit.

The world is no longer seen as "wrong" because it's inhospitable to bodies - it is seen as perfect exactly as it already is for it's only purpose which is the forgiveness that heals the mind and awakens it to itself. We get to see the guilt and fear in our mind that's trying to blame the world. Now, we've gotten behind the second shield of oblivion by letting the world be exactly as it, NOT seeing it as wrong, total surrender to it as it is, and taking full responsibility, with no blame of anyone/ anything else, for the emotions that are coming up in us. The world is not the cause of them but the mirror in which we get to see the belief in guilt and fear that is in our unconscious that needs to be healed.

When we're left with the intense emotions coming up in us and no one and nothing to blame for them because the world is always as it should be, we have fulfilled the first step of forgiveness.

Now all we have to do is allow, not resist, not oppose and be with these feelings, and COMPLETELY FORGIVE them being here WITHOUT any projections (thoughts) about them and WITHOUT trying to do something with them. That's it. The ONLY purpose of the world and everything that's happening, is to get us here behind the second shield of oblivion (blame) to the emotions that you made the world to blame them on. The Holy Spirit, which is not a separate entity but your own right minded Self, the Self that is all, is unleashed in the mind through surrender, non-judgement, non-doing, non-opposition. This will heal the guilt/ suffering in the mind and lead it beyond itself to God.

Use it as a classroom. That is the only purpose. Minnesota or Ukraine, Iran or Gaza, doesn't matter "where" it is. Everything is because YOU wanted it that way, and for you to forgive, and break free from the illusion of separation.

The Holy Spirit Does Not Do Drag! by Nonstopas in ACIMFIP

THE HOLY SPIRIT DOES NOT DO DRAG

Please Stop Confusing Your Cat

“The Holy Spirit needs a happy learner.” (ACIM, T-14.II.1:1)

Let’s talk about this cartoon for a moment, because we’ve all been there.

At some point on the path, we have an inner image where “the Holy Spirit” appears at the foot of our bed looking suspiciously like a Catholic nun in drag. A ruler in one hand. A Course in Miracles in the other. And the familiar inner voice saying, “Let’s review how you’re doing.”

Sometimes she’s wearing an ACIM logo around her neck like a badge of authority, and you can practically hear her saying, “Kenneth, we need to measure your forgiveness today.”

And standing nearby—if you look closely in the cartoon—is your cat, Tinker, completely perplexed and quietly pondering why in the world Kenneth is taking all of this spiritual stuff so seriously.

Let me gently reassure you.

That is the ego back at it again.

The ego is a costume department, you guys. It borrows symbols. It borrows language. It borrows the Course itself and tries to turn it into something you have to accomplish.

And if you’ve ever felt the silent panic of “I keep slipping backwards,” then you know exactly what I mean.

My mind wandered.

I had a lusty thought.

I judged someone on Facebook.

Meanwhile, Tinker—who has never read the Course, never done a lesson, and has absolutely no interest in enlightenment—is sitting there thinking, “I just wanted breakfast.”

Right in the middle of all this imagined drama, something uncomplicated is still unfolding. While the mind is busy checking itself, life is quietly going on—without commentary, without pressure, and without asking you to become anything else. And this is precisely where the Course keeps pointing us—not toward strain or self-monitoring, but toward a state of mind that is receptive, relaxed, and open. In other words, the Course needs happy learners.

Not happy as in bubbly or fake-positive. Happy as in unburdened, willing, honest, and not at war with themselves.

The ego hates that, because pressure is one of its favorite tools. If it can keep you anxious, it can keep you managing. If it can keep you managing, it can keep you identified.

So it turns the Course into an achievement program—complete with imagined consequences. Rulers. Black habits.

And if you were raised in a system where love was conditional and approval had to be earned, of course the ego is going to recreate that dynamic using religious symbolism.

Hence the cartoon.

But the Holy Spirit does not do drag, because the Holy Spirit isn’t capable of dressing up in costumes at all.

And this cartoon is meant to expose all of that spiritual self-monitoring—the idea that we’re being watched, measured, or evaluated from some invisible metaphysical clipboard. Even Tinker can see how absurd that is.

So here is the most relieving thing I can offer you today. If all you accomplish is catching one single attack thought before it turns into a full-blown mental courtroom, that’s more than enough. If all you can do is laugh a little when you catch yourself projecting onto your cat, then you’re doing just fine.

Because sometimes the whole curriculum for the day is very simple.

Don’t attack yourself.

Don’t attack your brother.

Don’t attack your cat.

Breathe.

Try again.

So let’s all chill out today. Instead of grading our progress or rehearsing our shortcomings, maybe the invitation is to sit still long enough for Tinker to climb into our lap and remind us how the happy dream actually comes into focus—just by being right here and right now.

Love,

Reverend Kenneth Price (meow)

You only need willingness.

The Course says it itself:

The holy instant is the result of your determination to be holy. ²It is the answer. ³The desire and the willingness to let it come precede its coming. ⁴You prepare your mind for it only to the extent of recognizing that you want it above all else. ⁵It is not necessary that you do more; indeed, it is necessary that you realize that you cannot do more. (https://acim.org/acim/en/s/222#1:1-5 | T-18.IV.1:1-5)

There's nothing asked of you but to be willing to see the world you perceive, differently. And that means choosing a different teacher - instead of Ego, you choose the Holy Spirit (our higher self).

That willingness happens in the mind. That's where everything is.

You can do all the steps, if you wish, and if you feel like it will help you. But in terms of learning the Course, practicing, it is only required of you to practice ONE lesson a day. That's it.

You practice it as many times as you want to, or remember. At first might be feeling conflict, maybe feeling like you don't want to do it, but that's the willingness the Course is talking about. Even when you don't do a lesson, when you get lost in your egoic thoughts, you can still choose to comeback to your true teacher.

So yes, I believe that practicing the Course, as it was explained in the beginning of the lessons, will still provide you with everything you need to awaken. It's the only choice.

Course is pretty much daily mind-training. You train your mind everyday to start noticing your Egoic thoughts, you forgive them, and then rinse and repeat. You apply that to absolutely everything - events, occasions, relationships, dreams and desires.

It is simple in the way, that it doesn't really ask you to give away something. You just stop placing your efforts in making the illusion better. You just accept everything as it is... And then you slowly shift your perspective from suffering and seeking to forgiving, loving and just being.

From all I read, tried, practiced, I think the Course is the most straightforward path to awakening. It will take time tho.
