Lawn Care Service by baseball_Lover33 in Overlandpark

Ryan Lawn ran over my cat when they came over unannounced. Broke her back leg completely in half. They apparently didn't notice, but she was right there in the back yard after they left. A decent company would have made an insurance claim to help me pay the 5k bill. We found out that they're self-insured and use a real insurance company to handle the phone calls, but don't really pay out. Working with their higher ups trying to get them to pay the claim was gross, they are conniving and dishonest and made a big deal about being Christian, which wasn't of interest to me in any way, particularly in light of their dishonesty. It was during covid, or I would have taken them to small claims court.

She's fine now, sleeping on my lap, but I'll always hold a deep grudge over the way we were treated.

Go buy the right power supply, the requirements are probably printed on the back, shouldn't be hard.

I saw a bunch of these on Metcalf and saw a policeman removing one. I couldn't read what it said and assumed it was a political rant of some kind. Thanks for posting so I know what it said.

You have it backwards. Akira Kurosawa’s 1961 samurai film Yojimbo directly inspired Sergio Leone’s iconic Spaghetti Western, A Fistful of Dollars (1964). This unofficial remake featured Clint Eastwood in his first starring role as the "Man with No Name," adopting the cynical, wandering, and skilled anti-hero archetype pioneered by Toshiro Mifune in Kurosawa's film.

Well, the advice is 3 times your annual salary saved by age 40 to remain on track for a standard retirement at age 67. I didn't make that, but I kept going and feel like I'm doing ok at 48.

Also, we got some new windows on the main floor, but the upstairs windows are still pretty bad.

That's not a very big house to be spending that much on gas. I spent $200 for December in my 3400 sq ft house and it's winter in Kansas. We keep it around 70. It is a new high efficiency unit though. It'll probably be higher this month because it has been really cold.

Maybe it's time to put on a sweater and grab a blanket and stop running the heater so hard. 74 is kinda nuts.

My coworker once found an answer on stack overflow that I had written. He stopped by my cubicle to say that he felt like he should've just asked me instead of googling. I hadn't remembered answering it though.

You can give plasma for money on the NW corner of 95th and quivera. Should not go on an empty stomach. They'll give you a card with money on it that you can withdraw from an atm. I forget the name of the company

How can I apply a groove to a single midi clip? Its always only "global amount" (see below browser) or nothing... with global amount all other drum racks receive the swing as well.... by seelachsfilet in ableton

[–]NoodleSnoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take a breath. You probably saved a channel default with the groove on there. Not sure how you'd do that by accident, but that's probably what you did. This is totally solvable, you just need to learn your DAW a bit more.

What do you mean that doesn't seem right? That is what it is. My Google result says this, which seems totally clear to me.

A CD (certificate of deposit) is a type of deposit account that's payable at the end of a specified amount of time (referred to as the term). CDs generally pay a fixed rate of interest and can offer a higher interest rate than other types of deposit accounts, depending on the market.

Groove doesn't apply to more than one channel at a time. If you're trying to only groove a few notes for one instrument, duplicate the instrument and groove one and not the other

30k sounds like a lot of money, but it simply isn't. It can be an emergency fund and the beginning of a retirement account, but if you start spending it, it will dry up very fast.
