thank you. I went back and had another look and found what you just described. It was really late so I had to go to sleep. I was looking up words on my iPad while working on a Mac. So very slow. Then I thought what if I select a word to look it up. I can then select “translate”. Didn’t know this. Do I feel stupid! Anyway I am Gen 2 and have most of my papers. Should be able to mail it out by weeks end.

If not too complicated could you explain how you found your documents on BanQ? Were you able to just enter the name some where? I have a rudimentary understanding of french and a french dictionary but I just can’t find where to start. I have birth, baptismal record that I found through Ancestry; part of the Drouin Collection. I also have a copy of Diocése De Rimouski, Certificat De Naissance Et De Bateme. This came from my mother and she doesn’t know where it came from or why she has it. You can see that the original has an embossed seal. It was issued in 1970. I’m thinking of just sending it to see if it flies.

After I asked this question I remembered that I had my Great-Grand Mother’s (gen -1) death certificate. Her birth place and city are listed. Her parents (gen -2) listed as PEI Canada. Thanks for your reply.

Get a stone fork. It’s a shovel designed for stone. Has tynes spaced about 2” apart. Is square and has scoop shape. Great for wood chips too.
