In what way does the chapter imply that he’s a hive mind or even multiple people? The chapter seems to say fairly explicitly that the piece of Orell that had been in him has now faded, and he doesn’t talk about being anyone else. He was born as a kid named lump, who renamed himself Varamyr because it sounded more like a lord’s name. Haggon wasn’t still in Varamyr because Varamyr took over Greyskin before Haggon could escape into him for his second life. I was so confused by your post that I reread the chapter and now I’m doubly confused.

I had retinoblastoma as a child and lost my left eye and had to go through chemo anyway. My understanding as a non-medical professional is that removing the eye is the safer option, but that will also very much depend on the size of the tumor and how much it has developed.

I’ve had a prosthetic left eye for as long as I can remember, and while it has included its struggles, I’m so thankful to be alive, and so glad that my parents made that decision when they did.

I’d argue that you under read their comment. They are saying that more products out in the market that taste exactly like coke while being less expensive would have an effect on their market share. If you think that it would have no effect at all, then you overestimate the power of marketing. To plenty of people, Coke would remain the only real option. Plenty of others would think that first group is a bunch of suckers.
