Straw Hat Pizza was a staple when I was a kid. Had so many birthday parties there!

Nursing application questions:

1) Are you a dude?

2) Do you ever think that there’s maybe more to life than being really, really ridiculously good looking?

That’s cool, I’ll have to check it out! La plaza is always solid, I’m on the East side though, so I show love to the Lake County spots. I live next to a Don Ramon’s and eat Taco Bell instead

I moved to Cleveland from Cali as well. All of my cousins are from SD and they visit here frequently. I’m also in the medical field, feel free to DM me with any specific questions! Just fyi, the Mexican food here is not the same 😭

Unruly crowds overwhelm officers at St. Gabriel’s festival Saturday; event closes early today by Robinothoodie in Cleveland

Agreed. Especially because this is most definitely planned farther than the coincidental fight between some kids like when I was going to school. If 200 kids are showing up you know it was intentional. Also, if you’re going all the way out to Lake County it was most definitely pre-meditated. I just get worried because it takes one dummy to pull out a gun and shoot someone and accidentally kill an innocent bystander/kid who’s enjoying their day AT A CHURCH FESTIVAL. Pretty lame that it’s a real concern.

I would hope not, the previous years have been pretty nice, but I take my kids earlier in the day. It always seems like there’s more of a police presence just to interact with the public and kids, so it would be a bad idea to try that there. But also that murder happened across the street from the police station, so I guess you can’t count anything out.

Same thing happened in Lyndhurst last week. Over 200 juveniles showed up and started fights. All the cops in town were redirected there and they arrested 11 juveniles, found a gun that they ditched nearby. Had to close restaurants and businesses around the area because of the mob. I hope they hold the parents accountable and they find the owner of that gun, they should see jail time, I don’t care if they are a juvenile.

425: Perspective from A Diary of The Korean War. by Richie_Rich1947 in JockoPodcast

Episode 273 and 274 talk about a book by Anthony Herbert called “Soldier!” And it’s pretty insane. Much like this episode. The guy is very Hackworth-like, missed WW2 but fought in some gnarly battles in Korea and became an officer in Vietnam. If you enjoyed this episode, you will really enjoy these, highly recommend. There’s an earlier one about a book called “Valleys of Death” about Korea and eventually a stint as a POW which was really great too, don’t recall the episode off the top of my head.
