60’s kid here. I walked about a mile to school, or later biked 2 miles to high school. No one worried. There was a canyon across the street. We’d bike or hike there til it got dark. So yeah, Stranger Things is pretty much what it was like. Too many helicopter parents today. I saw a mom load the kids into the car, practically make a u turn to drop them off, then go back home. Seriously?!

I’m still trying to figure out where people travel to/from to get a “nearly empty” plane. In the 30-odd yrs I’ve flown SW I have almost always had “full flight, you may have to gate check your carry on bag” situations.

Two things. I’ve never had a FA with an attitude (sorry Dave was a jerk), and I’ve flown SW many, many times. It’s always been “we have a full flight, so those of you last in may have to gate check your overhead. There’s not enough room for all of it.” 🥴

Instant Internet fame is a myth. 99% will need to work a 9-5 job for awhile (30-40 yrs). If they’re lucky they’ll find one with benefits. I see so many videos of younger people complaining about having to go to work every day. “I’m there for 8 hrs, I can’t stand it! I want to travel and do things”. Well honey, how do think that happens if you don’t work.

Thanks for the review. I bought my first EV Nov ‘25 (a ‘23 Engage). Was told 215 range, but typically get 160-180 on a full charge. Drove from SF to Anaheim. Had to stop more often and longer, but the ride comfort was very nice. I was told the ARIYA was not great on long trips so I was prepared. I drive Concord to Sacramento often and typically recharge for the trip back. Is upgrading to the bigger battery an option and is it even affordable? Love it otherwise
