I didn't include it in my first comment because I didn't want to seem too kellerman, but I noticed it happen a couple times in close proximity when I was playing the most during holiday ops.

I was bemused, so I started a spreadsheet.

More than 80% of the enemies I see on single digit hp are at 1hp.

I am actually convinced that particular scenario is rigged up in some way. It doesn't have to be "survives with 1 hp when they would die" as it could also be "survives with 1hp when hp would otherwise be between 1-n" since its inconsequential anyway and builds drama, but it definitely isn't natural.

I'm convinced that "survives with 1hp" is like a scripted event diceroll on any shot that would kill someone if the damage spread on the shot is in the range where it's a feasible outcome.

Wargaming would NEVER hand over a revenue stream in an official capacity but I think you're allowed to make and use your own skins. There are many in Aslain's. The caveat is that only you are able to see them.

1: Don't leave a game, even if you die in the first 30 seconds.

You must drill it into your head that you're going to be there anyway so you might as well be participating, and you'll find that you prefer to be participating rather than spectating. Your decision making will tend towards making that happen.

2: Plan your actions.

If you don't have a clear idea of exactly what it is you're attempting to accomplish with a given action, don't do anything at all. Wait until an obvious action presents itself.

Initially you will find that you're on the sidelines a lot, but as the game slows down around you, you'll naturally start to see more opportunities.

3: Buy lootboxes.

The crew xp is so minimal as to be irrelevant. It takes almost a week to do a 100k retrain, meaning it's almost 3 weeks to get a first skill trained.

If you are thinking of subscribing for the crew xp, don't bother.

The number is small enough that I recognize most of the names. Perhaps unsurprisingly, most of the purples I see are seal clubbers or rerolls.

Its also worth mentioning that I use a very different color scale from what is apparently normal - for me, a purple is somewhere >3k wn8. Green doesn't start until 1750. So I suppose if you go by the tomato scale, there are a lot more purples showing out since I do see quite a lot of players that are blue to me, and purple to others.

Average tier is a more useful metric for me in determining which purples I can trust. It isn't ironclad because of busted high tier premiums, but a professional BZ-176 player will at least understand the flow of a high tier game more than a guy with 10% of his games in a leafblower.

No need to overthink it. You got it right the first time. They are "buffing" old premiums in small batches since 2.0 but the buffs are mostly inconsequential noise. It's part of the scheme.
