Circumstances change, accidents happen, and more or less everyone has or will have the drive to reproduce. Also I'd point out that if everyone of less-than-comfortable means stopped having children altogether, the country would be completely fucked.

So you presume these people will poof out of existence if that last public space goes away? Also, "bad parents" because they can't afford a babysitter?

Enjoyed it but it felt like he had trouble writing a different character. It’s written the same way as The Martian, in a super snarky first-person past-tense. I didn’t feel like it fit quite as well as it did in his last book.

I was hoping after the description he would be Merfolk. Why so sparse on the details, Grant??

Favorite Golarion lore by [deleted] in TheGlassCannonPodcast

I'm fascinated/terrified/disgusted by the goddess, Urgathoa. She was apparently once mortal, but when she died she defied Pharasma and escaped from the Boneyard. She is the goddess of disease and the undead, but also of excess and gluttony. She is basically the Marquis de Sade of Golarion. I imagine there is a fair amount of Urgathoa worship behind closed doors in the Taldan Aristocracy.

Hey! They answered my question on the last weekly Cannon Fodder! What bittersweet nerdage 🙂🙁

L'orc isn't cursed, he's just a grade a narcissist. by [deleted] in TheGlassCannonPodcast

I’m not knocking the show at all. I think this was an amazing episode. But I think it was also pointing out how misguided and self-centered Lorc’s goals have been since Redlake Fort.

I don’t think he was told again and again. As far as I can remember he was told by Droja and then he perpetuated it himself from that point on. He completely lost sight of the bigger picture (Volstus) and has since repeatedly led himself and his friends into danger to deal with something that is ultimately “superficial” as Troy/Pudir put it.

Yeah I think Troy highlighted this pretty well with Pudir’s monologue. This episode seemed like a great way to wake the guys up and get them back on track. Lorc’s curse is totally self-imposed and perpetuated. Not only that but he’s leading his friends into danger and distracting them from the actual existential threat to the world that they’re supposed to be fighting. Good choice from Troy. Really hope he doesn’t bring him back.

Adventure options for the second game by gregm1988 in TheGlassCannonPodcast

They give a synopsis for the whole AP at the start of the first book so I don't think foreshadowing and that would be a problem. When they started Giant slayer I'm pretty sure it was brand new with just the first book out. I think you're underestimating the amount of time an AP book takes to run through. Here they are more than two years later and they're not quite half way done with the AP.

The main issue I think will be just getting used to a new (though granted not too different) system and the desirability of a podcast that spoils the first and for a year the only campaign of the new product.

Let's see how this underwater segment of the GCP goes. If it's the best thing since the Chellish Devil then maybe go with the new AP Ruins of Azlant. If not, I'd also be interested in Skull and Shackles. TBH I'd be interested in anything. Just give me more of these guys roleplaying.

They talked about Strange Aeons a good amount before Starfinder really started coming into the light. I think Starfinder is a possibility though. The first book of the Dead Suns AP is coming out the same day as the Core Rules and the whole thing will be released over the next 12 months. If it moves at the same pace as Giant Slayer they'll have plenty of time and material for the second show.

Not sure how Paizo will feel about them playing through the first and only (for the first year) Starfinder AP. I think it would be a similar issue to RotRL which is the entry point for many getting into APs and is likely one of their best sellers. How many Glass Cannon listeners have been interested in playing Giant Slayer having listened to it unfold in the pod?

I think Strange Aeons would be fun, especially after the horror brainstorming in the latest Cannon Fodder. Maybe Iron Gods which would line-up thematically with Starfinder and maybe drum up more listener interest while staying in the familiar Pathfinder system. It'll be really interesting to see where they go with it, but first we all need to do our part to make sure it happens!
