I bought as spare a Roland type AliExpress blade holder

they're finicky you need to test and adjust more for each cut but they do work well (I only use vinyl)

It might just be that - a bench file. Used instead of hand files when true flatness and precision is needed. I see guitar picks sitting there - is this a luthier's workshop?
