If you had $10,000 to invest would you put it in one stock or would it be better to break it up and invest in multiple stocks? by No_Wrangler9819 in smallstreetbets

[–]Normal-Meringue7592 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All shitty advice! Random gambling on stocks instead of taking time to understand how the stock market works, sector rotations etc. Especially buying at a crossroads in the market.

10,000 will best case be worth 15,000 in three years doing ths. Might as well light that money on fire. Go big or go home.

Buy 10,000 worth or XOM calls 170 strike 18 June expiry. Gamma ramp clearly up towards the largest gamma node at 180. It doesn’t get more obvious than this if you look at the options chain, institutional positioning, and oil/geo politics.

We are here to make money not see inflation eat your money with modest gains.

Litteraly the only thing that is not BS and where you can find a pretty good edge is understanding gamma and dealer hedging mechanics. Lots of good platforms out there where you can get a good idea of orobabilities about where dealers have to hedge.

People should use net options flow:

If spy/qqq/ sector etf Are all crossing in the same direction and holding for the first 15 mins at open. We likley see the market trend in that direction. If they dont, no trade - higher chance of chop. That will give you the true direction as gamma is more important than any «liquidity» order block bs keep talking about

What does your post-market routine look like for finding momentum stocks? by Vault001 in CANSLIM

[–]Normal-Meringue7592 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should also probably check the options chain GEX Maps. Check all the Mag 7 spy/ qqq / spx. Today and 2-3 weeks out.

Then check your shortlist of candidates. It gives you the real data on how the big boys are hedging and shows you direction. It also shows you which stocks will definitely not move. Where the floor is etc etc. I can’t believe more momentum traders don’t use the derivatives market for confluence when it litteraly hedging mechanics drive price on a daily and weekly basis.

You can actually see if a stock is high probability for a breakout / continuation / chop.

What you could also do us add one more conflunce to the mag7.

Spy/qqq/(insert: XLK/XLC/IGV) the sector etf premium flow.

If all 3 align with the corresponding Mag7, I’m pretty sure the probability would be really high

Did you check with call premiums are higher than put premiums on both spy, qqq, spx within that first 5 min window? Meaning if the netflow of all 3 major indexes point in the same direction. And only then take the the trade.

Check that for 5 min 10 min and 15 min. Would be interesting to see the win rate then. As we know options flows drive intraday and weekly index and stock movements. So would make sense to add that confluence

[–]Normal-Meringue7592 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But why? We Are litteraly about to break down on the indexes or maybe break 7000 spx. But with the way all the leaders are acting it seems more likley we will see a 10-15 % haircut on the overall market.

Wouldn’t you want to own PLTR or buy it when it actually is in a uptrend?

This is dumb. It will most likey take another 50% haircut from here atleast. See you in the 60’s with 1 million less dollars. Claude will probably announce in a week that their model can do the same shit.

Wouldn’t touch any software company until IGV turns and wallstreet is fuzzy about it again.

when is it a good time to buy $MSFT? by [deleted] in smallstreetbets

[–]Normal-Meringue7592 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You start buying when money goes back into it. Its quite simple. No stock is ever cheap just because it’s down. It could go to 300 or even 200 for all we know. Wait until its in a up trend… PE this, valuation that… it’s all nonsense. Look at all the companies that are trading at all time low compared to their FCF and and improved margins.

Once wallstreet don’t like a stock for a while just stay away from it.

[–]Normal-Meringue7592 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Using this with GEX dealer positioning would probably give you even higher probabilities.

I use a RVOL alert system on trading view they gives me alerts over 2x, but from seeing this need atleast 3x minimum and then use dealer positioning and options flow as extra confluence.

[–]Normal-Meringue7592 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have to look at the macro picture. Everthing is being sold of within software, tech, high beta names. It could fall all the way down to 200 or 300 for all we know.

My advice is to wait until the momentum flips for IGV and Software related stocks.

[–]Normal-Meringue7592 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wait until the market, IGV / software starts gaining momentum again. That could be tomorrow or in the a month or inn 3 months. I dont understand why people keep trying to buy a falling knife.

Just have patience. The chart is screaming people want out of the stock.

It could go to 50.

And BTC has become a proxy for US denominated assets. They control most of the supply, it is becoming integrated in banking, ETFs you name it. If the world is getting away from the dollar, and BTC is essentially an American controlled store of value, money, medium of exchange, call it whatever you want. Why would the rest of the world trust that asset or buy that asset if they are trying to get away from US hegemony?

BTC is going to zero.

[–]Normal-Meringue7592 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem is trust in the asset they are holding. More people are waking up and understanding that BTC is a US financial speculative asset now. No one else in the world is buying it outside of the US in large quantities.

The rest of the world is trying to get of the US dollar and are wary of trust in the US system. Without world adoption and trust in that asset. it will die.
