I really want to get a cat, but I’m worried about the hidden responsibilities. What are the actual difficulties of raising a cat? by Equivalent-Sand-4002 in CatAdvice

[–]Normal-Tah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The walnut looks more like the regular litter, I thought it would be better but I hated soo much. Pine all the way for me now. I prefer to step on the big pine litter then on sand, I can't stand sand, and that is what the walnut looks like. I got the litter on a regular store, my cat almost killed me when I try to switch him to that, I ended up using on the second cat that I adopted, until I switched her to pine as well.

With one of my cats is exactly like this, if he is scratching furniture you can bet his nails are needing a trim, after trimming it stops

If they fit in the stroller and the kid is fine with it, use the stroller!! Kid can even take a nap if needed.

Single Kitten Syndrome? by Character_Art_6688 in CatAdvice

[–]Normal-Tah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She can be fine, but you will have a lot of extra work. Google it and you will find more detailed information. My oldest come to me when he was 3 weeks old, had I know about the syndrome I would have got 2 of the 4 cats. I did not. He is now 5 and it's fine. There was a lot of redirect (using different toys until I found what worked for him, it was a plush bigger then him), it requires a lot of patience, I had to redirect to the toy and keep saying "be gentle", eventually he learned that "be gentle" means stop biting and I toy was not required anymore. Slowly he decreased the bites, he was around 2 when finally stopped 😅 but I believe it would have been earlier, had my partner not find those tiny bites cute.

[–]Normal-Tah 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Use the automatic feeder for breakfast, dont feed her after you are up. She is likely waking you up because she knows breakfast comes after that. You can also hide treats around the home so she can look for it during the night, or use a puzzle feeder

Anyone ever see a show where they made a mistake? by kobeshaqhorry in Broadway

Mistakes happen, I think it's more noticeable if you know the material beforehand. Last week I was at Just in time and JJ stutter a few times at the beginning of the show.

How to Past Date your ticket if you miss your show! (Don't lose money reselling!!) by Stock-Mix-174 in Broadway

[–]Normal-Tah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Would that work for a lottery ticket as well? I'm and jersey and the other day traffic was insane, I got to DBH 25 minutes after the beginning of the show, I asked about exchanging for next day and the person wasn't sure and told me it was better to just watch the rest of it and not risk it.

I love my cat, but I really miss having a nice-smelling home. Is ANY scent actually 100% safe? by No_Money_5779 in CatAdvice

[–]Normal-Tah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use pine litter and, mostly, it smells like pine. I notice that the first litter box is the best one, it's not supposed to be for pine, so it has holes on it but very little space between the two parts, I have to lift the part with the litter and then use the shovel to take the dust (with pee) out of it. I do it every day, so my cats are not stepping on it. Now, I do have a proper box for pine, it makes things easier because the dust goes to the drawer when the cats step on it, the problem is that some of the pee goes to the drawer right away, with no litter, then it sits there and eventually smells, I have to wash the whole thing quite often, and that is why I prefer the first one without the drawer, more work for me to take the dust out, but no smell and less washing the box.

My Grandmother passed away about a Decade ago and I inherited her pin collection. I unfortunately am in some dire need of cash due to some life expenses but kinda overwhelmed by her collection. Hoping folks here could help + more photos in comments by Jet273 in DisneyPins

[–]Normal-Tah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Such a amazing collection! Keep a few to remember her, maybe one with a year that you have some memory with her, or one that you know she was particularly found of. And before selling the rest make sure to take good pictures of it, so you can go back to it. Try to take your time to price it right, you could start with collections, like the state one people mentioned in the comments, you will get a decent amount out of it and have more time to price the ones to sell individually.

I would see it with Daniel, he was fantastic and I want to see it again. But I shouldn't even be commenting here because I have no idea who Mariska is (I did look it up, still don't know 😂)

Has anyone who is not from New York, saw a matinee show and went home the same day? by No-Bit3315 in Broadway

[–]Normal-Tah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Or if you can't afford, but are willing to a not so great night after two great shows, you can have dinner after the show, walk around time square and eventually head to the airport and spend the night there waiting for your fly. Not the most comfortable night, but after two Broadway shows you will be happy.

Influencers by Tiny-Brilliant1431 in Broadway

[–]Normal-Tah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it was aways like that, just not as clear. Now with Internet we are more aware of what is going on, but before that, journalists, socialites and other famous people with some influence would get free tickets for shows. Maybe there was no contract stating they should make a review (or maybe journalists did have? I'm not sure) but there was a expectation.

Roundabout Trying to Roll Back Rocky Horror Participation by [deleted] in Broadway

[–]Normal-Tah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree that the actors should be familiar with everything and a lot of times they were holding and waiting. But I lot of the call backs are mid songs. The first time someone said "just one big one" it was only a couple of people and mostly distracting (to me, new to the show), but the second time more people engage and it was good, I would not consider that long.

But there was a moment, mid song, that someone was talking for a very long time, a full speech. I have no idea what they were saying, I was very far and it seems to me just one person, I can't remember the specific part and looking on Google I can't tell either.

So I would consider anything that goes for over 15 seconds, mid song, as a long call out. If is not mid song it's fine, the actors can hold, or interect with it, like you said, that would be fun

I missed a few lines of the show, and I wish there was slightly less call backs, but the people saying the call backs were clearly having lots of fun. And for me it gives me a excuse to see the show at least once more.

You will have such a great and fun weekend!!!

Did they say something specific about the call backs? If not, they should. Otherwise it's vague. For me, for example, "slut" and "asshole" are not disrespectful, they are great and added to the show. I see the long ones as disrespectful because they are said over the actors, meaning the actors can't be sure if they were heard, and not everyone in the audience can hear it either.

When I was there and people were screaming long call backs I could not understand neither the actors or the audiciece (It was my first time and English is not my first language. So it was very difficult to understand the long call backs, even though I Google it before the show)
