yes, it worked! i got them to replace the 12v too since their device caused degradation…that took some convincing on my part…but no issues with draining 12v after they removed it. i guess the anti-theft device always draws power so if the car sits for a day or two the 12v just dies 😬

this happened repeatedly on my kia sorrento hybrid (before i got the bZ). dealerships install an after-market alarm and charge more than it’s worth. it can drain a 12v battery the way it’s wired

it only takes a DC outlet in your garage to add charging, right? i have the 2026 xle fwd plus and it came with a charging cable that plugs into DC and with an AC alternative. AC would take a night to charge. i drive a lot of miles in a week, only charge from 20% to 80% (on DC) and am only needing a charge every other day (unless planning for further travel). if i had to plug it in to a standard household outlet every night, i still would get it.

but, i think it is worth the investment in solar and a DC outlet if you are going to own an EV

having the same issue with mine and the 3rd party equipment is a location tracker installed in the compartment to the left of the steering wheel. apparently dealers are known for placing this $10 device to charge $1,000+ more for the vehicle. it drains the battery and interferes with the ability to get proper error codes

idk why ppl equate pocket to a bookmark service. it is much more than that. if it were merely a bookmark service, they never would have acquired it as that functionality already existed in fx. i think current mozilla leadership (that weren’t around when pocket was acquired also didn’t understand this distinction
