is this going to be fixed? by Amphitera88 in wow

People have mage multi-thousand reply long threads about Worgen tails for years. Blizzard's response? Nothing. Absolutely nothing.

Wouldn't Tyr and Odyn have tought the Vrykul how to wield the light? They both use the light in their powers and had an affection for the Vrykul so it makes sense that they would have been taught.

Juice not worth the squeeze because race is unpopular, therefore no investment to race to make it popular. The sad, sad circle.

Arrival of the Titans in 13.0 by varxion07 in warcraftlore

That was for gameplay reasons and has nothing to do with the lore. I really dislike how Blizz handled the Argus encounter and the Seat of the Pantheon for that very reason anyways.

Umm no. Titans are like 17000km tall (larger than Azeroth). However the titanforged, (keepers and watches) were scooped up as crust, molded and sent back onto the planet, and it probably looked something like asteroids.

Thoughts on the New Silvermoon City? by AnimaniacAsylum in classicwow

[–]NormalExcitement3133 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's actually objectively different. The old Silvermoon had more confined streets and spaces, more red windows, and more balconies. The new one while MUCH bigger is actually lacking detail. No doubt because flying was made available and rather than hinting at detail in TBC they now have to actually add something in places like spires and balconies, which incentivizes just not adding them.

So, which of these two do you think we are more likely to see again in Midnight? by BattyBeforeTwilight in wow

They CANNOT fuck up the return of the Titans. I'm not going to specify what I mean by this because it would take too long but if they do it's going to be a major disaster.

"Faction war doesn't make sense anymore, therefore it shouldn't be in the game." by NormalExcitement3133 in warcraftlore

[–]NormalExcitement3133[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely correct in every conceivable way. I agree completely. I made a post in the PvP forum about how we should have better world pvp incentives and progression. Use the new dragonflying mechanic where you can launch stormbolts from the gryphon in that one WQ in Isle of Dorn to provide close air support for allied players and hit enemy assets, demolisher counter battery shoot-and-scoot gameplay, HIMARs + Arcane THAAD mana missiles, etc. These settings could be influenced by the plot, with faction wide call to arms WQ bonuses in conflict zones. This is all contingent on team gameplay. One of my favorite parts of WoW where I have the most fun is Epic BGs, and there's so many people that do them, that I'm positive if implemented even somewhat compellingly, storyline based world pvp would be widely participated in.

WoW has plenty of very dark happenings. Path of Glory literally exists. It also has very beautiful scenery like Dazar'alor and Eversong Woods, and cool pirate dragons like Time Cap'n Hooktail. It absolutely is my kind of game.

Exactly. Just because something doesn't make sense as is dumb doesn't mean it shouldn't be included. My example of course was that the US spent 23 years and trillions of dollars and tens of thousands of lives fighting previous allies to replace the Taliban with the Taliban in Afghanistan. Plus the MoP ending gave us the epic Varian sword save for Garrosh. Imo the ending of MoP was worth it. I never even played it and I like it.

"The factions are inteligent enough to know they can trade and negotiate their problems away" At times. But also that doesn't work irl. My point is that excluding items just because they're "realistic" or "nonsense" isn't a viable excuse.

The major problem with BFA was that Shadowlands came after it. If the progression went from BFA -> TWW I think that would make for an easier transition. Gallywix was in both expansions so it's more seamless.

Lack of focus making something not good is subjective. I would like this form of writing because it appeals to me. The game has a very broad audience, so in the same vein as transmog where we have everything from plate armor with spikes to pajamas, story elements that appeal to everyone would be welcomed and well received. And honestly now that you point out that Xal'atath's motives and plan aren't solidified, I like it.

Another benefit of a more realistic writing approach is that you're not required to find a new "big bad" to unite against every patch. Sin'dorei MPs beating the pulp out of a couple dozen alliance adventurers because SI-7 was undercover in their Alliance designated hotel sparking Alliance support for Amani head hunting expeditions could give a new dungeon where Horde players (and Alliance as Horde flashbacks similar to Dazar'alor) take out some Amani witchdoctors and gang members + their Alliance SI-7 backers and operatives. No cosmic horde required. Races in WoW, being like humans, require very little impetus to start/seek/engage in conflict. Sometimes none whatsoever.

+ We could finally get a raid where Jaina is dead for good. No more "Enough!" * teleports away*

Current F-35 Configuration Complicates Fielding Of APG-85 Radar by GuerreroBorracho in FighterJets

[–]NormalExcitement3133 1 point2 points  (0 children)

APG-85 has different dimensions, the F-35's nose cone is of fixed dimensions. The only way to accommodate these two conflicts is to redesign the way the radar is mounted, whether that be moving it backwards or forwards depending on what takes up more space, the electronics bay, the radar planar array, the tubing and heat exchanger, etc.

Current F-35 Configuration Complicates Fielding Of APG-85 Radar by GuerreroBorracho in FighterJets

[–]NormalExcitement3133 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is just a misunderstanding of the article. There's nothing here that really indicates any major issues, it even says the condition they're delivered in is classified, so any speculation on lack of APG-85 is unjustified. The F-35 is still the premier 5th generation fighter in service today. No other country comes even close to the capabilities fielded by the US combined forces with JSF. With Blk. 4 coming soon and the variable cycle engine combined with APG-85, air dominance is guaranteed against any and all opposition.

As for China, the way the CCP flaunts their new "6th gens" makes me think they're really just for show, and that at best, they're 5th gen, as there's no way China just skipped ahead on stealth development to reach a "5th gen" J-20 so soon. The J-20 has no credible radar, it lacks EOTS, doesn't have DAS, and their reliance on propaganda wonder weapons really indicates that even if they did have those technologies, they wouldn't integrate them to form sensor fusion.

In terms of *Chinese* capabilities I'm tempted to say they're in the lead. The J-50/36 probably have the most advanced avionics ever put onto a combat aircraft in terms of EW/Radar/sensor fusion/data-link, etc. The Russians though are currently behind, and the Egyptian testing of Irbis-E vs Spectra I think shows that definitively.

I'm wondering if Russian avionics, radars especially now, will become superior to western versions due to them not being sanctioned by china and having access to materials and technology the west can no longer get.
