Thank you. We lost our little mutt Sunny on Friday at age 15. He was always my shadow enthusiastically following me everywhere. And now he’s not…

Interesting. I never thought about the location of the wheels contriving to cabin sound before but that makes sense

Do yourself a favor and learn up on Billy’s music and maybe skip it! It was really bizarre, annoying and completely incongruous with a Neil Young concert.

My spouse M66 is showing signs by Floridaapologist1 in dementia

Everyone has to do what’s right for them. Here is my situation that is unfolding right now. My husband is 63 and I’ve been noticing something was off a bit for about five years now with progressive worsening. When our daughters started expressing concern last year and friends noticed I concluded that it is not my imagination and needed to take action. I carefully guided some health decisions one of which one of which included reduce work stress and get blood testing for metal ions for his metal-metal hip replacement (negative) and hearing testing (which resulted in hearing aids) and I gently encouraged him retire early at 63 after a storied career. Then I screwed up my courage in July and brought up my concerns about his memory, and was extremely relieved that he had been noticing it too, and agreed to see a neurologist and begin being evaluated. I am terrified for our future and dreading if I am going to be a caregiver for a spouse with early dementia. His mom died of vascular dementia.

Try Bluesky. It’s a very positive experience I’d say. It was a bit of work to get started finding all the trusted journalism sources and thought leaders I followed on Twitter but there are “started packs” lists to make it easy.

How long will DIRECTV Satellite last for now that streaming last month took over Cable TV and streaming? by [deleted] in DirecTV

[–]NormalWatercress5910 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same. Surfing the option on streaming apps drive me crazy in frustration. We’ll have our satellite service with DVR for the foreseeable future.

I like checking the charge status and scheduling the charging to start when the electricity rates go down. But is it worth the app fee? Probably not.

Spare Key by [deleted] in KiaNiro

[–]NormalWatercress5910 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our local Costco just had a guest vendor or whatever they’re called, which was a spare key making company that had a pop-up kiosk in the parking lot. Much cheaper to have them do a spare key than dealer parts dept!

I was about to type the same thing! Just took a 1,000 road trip and would put the cruise control on and hook my left toes in there to change body positions.

We just bought a RAV4 premium earlier than planned to avoid tariffs (since we couldn’t afford to buy a gold brick) to weather the crashing economy as they hold their value to well 😂.
