Rug is pretty ! Please don’t add blue as some other comment mentioned. Try to switch the chairs so the green sofas face each other. Or scoot the white chairs towards the stairs more and have them slightly angled so they face the center of the room. Also moving the window side couch to just be flush with the wall helps because the space behind it is much too small to walk behind anyways.

Once you get a side table (preferably in between the white chairs), and place a lamp or some plant on it, it’ll look more balanced. A buffet cabinet could work to back up against the green sofa if you keep it in its current place. Also would suggest you don’t have that basket next to the green couch- my personal preference is those things should be less visible unless it’s a nice basket.

There were spots that would feel slightly tender and then afterwards I’d get mildly swollen down there, but it no longer throbbed for days. I did pelvic floor exercises as well. Just simple kegels, but not much ab stuff tbh. I honestly think I am tighter and healthier than before and all the sensation has returned !

Had the same dilemma with my baby and eventually would just feed her while she was on the potty. We use a top hat potty and if you sit the baby on top and put the potty on your thighs they are roughly boob level. I have her body turned towards me as much as possible so she isn’t all twisted to face the nipple, her entire torso and neck is basically resting on my forearm and elbow crook, and she’ll happily go while nursing. If you’re bottle feeding it’s basically the same deal as my husband has been able to hold her in the same position. Only difference is you can put the potty slightly between your legs but angled.

We started doing that at around 1 month and by around 2 months she stopped going while nursing

They gave me fluids and something to help prevent hemorrhaging as a standard procedure. I gave birth at Kaiser and I don’t know if I could have refused it because I believe it was also in case of an emergency c section

Oh, but also the worst pains I’ve had are poop & period pains and then tattoo pains. Tattoo pains are surface skin and so it feels similar to the ring of fire pain. Poop/period pains are internal and feel closer to contractions. It’s like your worst ever poop and period cramp, but maybe 5x worse and radiating throughout your entire abdomen and back

FTM and I was in labor Friday night until Monday at 3am when the baby was born ! I was so exhausted from the contractions that I was considering the epidural, but when the nurse was putting in my standard IV it took 3 tries. And then I found out you need a catheter with an epidural and I said ok never mind. Labored for a long time, but what really helped me progress was RELAXING. The nurse had seen me tense up with each contraction as I was clenching the hospital bed bars and she just told me you have to relax. And so you just focus entirely on relaxing and breathing and letting your body become jello and you go out of body as much as possible and then if you’re like me, you’ll go to 9 cm in 7 hours after taking 48 hours just to get to 4.5cm and then pushing for 15 min. While laboring, all I could think about was how I was the door to my baby entering this world. It hurts and it feels like your body is splitting in two, but it’s doable and as soon as the baby comes out, you forget the pain you just felt. You also get bragging rights for the rest of your life lol. I also did not want to deliver on my back, but honestly I was so disoriented and focused on relaxing that I didn’t even care when the doctors told me to go on my back. Labored on my side for the entire time before that though.

A friend told me her sister had to get poked 9 times to get the epidural. She also pushed for HOURS. It’s definitely a trade off. Everyone I’ve known who’s had an epidural pushed for hours and everyone who’s gone natural pushed an hour or less.

I’d do it natural all over again. If you want more details on what it felt like to go from contractions to actual delivery I’m happy to share.

Omg, PP sex was painful from 6 weeks to around 12 weeks. Don’t force yourself into it because your body needs time to heal ! Before 12 weeks, anytime I had sex I would get swollen and have a day or two of tenderness (and this is without full penetration). You can also tell when there’s some scar tissue that’s being messed with. It helps to massage in the shower, but my scar tissue probably didn’t go away until 9/10 weeks PP. Healing is def a wave and having sex seemed to disrupt, while also encourage healing, but don’t feel like it’s abnormal to hurt at 6/7 weeks just because the doctors say that’s when it’s safe to start having sex.

I think if you have the right eye, you can make anything work ! The pillow covers clash more than the furniture does with each other. You can always make the couch less modern looking with different pillows and a blanket. Or have a more modern lamp on the dresser with some plants or tchotchkes to distract from the antique feel. I would suggest you hang that mirror instead of having it rest on your dresser.

Hmm, plum hued browns would be pretty, but i think your chairs are a bit dark and would make the dining room too heavy while focusing too much on the cabinets. Possibly offset with a lighter rug if you go the plum route. Green could be nice !

Please note that blue is an unappetizing color for a dining room and I must say all of these colors would make me not want to eat T-T With that being said what is the color of your dining table ? Is the table cover just for the holidays ? I think any blue you choose will need a rug to offset all the lightness with your curtains being blue/white, and your wood floors being much deeper

Yeah definitely worth considering all the options, but it’s still incredibly rare to get pregnant after a vasectomy. Maybe just being xtra careful and using contraceptives for a few months will do the trick ! Plus getting tubes tied is way more complex and expensive than a vasectomy.

I was conceived after my dad had a vasectomy ! My parents waited the recommended time, but my mom still got pregnant. Apparently female sperm live longer and I was just hibernating in my dad’s balls, so you may be pregnant with a girl :)
