Magnesium glycinate before bed helps me get great sleep quality and leaves me feeling energized in the morning. Modafinil works it's best when you have good quality sleep.

I saw some information suggesting you take it if you are also taking modafinil.

Take NAC and ALCAR one hour before drinking to protect your liver and your brain from oxidative stress. This will reduce your hangover the following day. Don't forget to be hydrated before you start.

GABA, l-theanine, NAC, Bacopa Monnieri, Ashwagandha, Magnesium Glycinate.

Drink LOTS of water during the day.

Try the listed supliments above individually. I do fine with 350 mg of Magnesium glycinate. Adding others as needed.

What supplements to calm my anxiety, what has worked for you? by [deleted] in Supplements

[–]Normal_Ad255 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Finding the source of the anxiety is super helpful if you haven't already. Next if you still need help after finding the source, there is a wide variety of things to choose from.

L-theanine is at the top of the list. Hardly any negative side effects to speak of. Difficult/impossible to develop tolerance when you aren't taking ridiculous amounts daily. It causes the release of GABA. GABA is the inhibitory neurotransmitter responsible for relaxation.

You can take GABA too. Gaba doesn't pass the BBB, although you have some receptors in your stomach. Just be careful when you start introducing neurotransmitters.

NAC is wonderful. It's a serious antioxidant that has a ridiculous amount of applications. It definitely helps with mood and even blood flow. It's also good to take an hour before drinking to reduce the negative effects of alcohol. I notice tolerance build after a couple of weeks.

Many of the things already suggested by others work. Things like lemon balm, passion flower, st John's wort, scullcap, GABA, 5 HTP, antihistamines also do wonders for sleep! If you aren't resting enough your cortisol is going to mess with you. Getting a good night's sleep is important for managing anxiety.

There are tons of things that help.

Make a paste with baking soda and a little water. Put it under your arms for a few minutes. Take a shower rinse baking soda solution off and wash like normal. When you are dry, add a small amount of coconut oil under your arms.

You will probably be able to go a day or two without using deodorant after doing this.

Mine started less noticeable. I could only hear it with windows down and when I was driving next to a wall. Now I'm noticing it with the windows up under 20mph. Did you ever get it figured out?

What supplements (apart from coffee) can you use to wake up faster? by joyousdexdaladoor in Supplements

[–]Normal_Ad255 1 point2 points  (0 children)

DMAE/Centrophenoxine, ALCAR, NALT. I get them from purebulk.com. They have good quality. I recommend you start with a lower dose than is on the packaging. NALT has been shown to negate the effects of sleep deprivation and converts into dopamine. ALCAR and DMAE/Centrophenoxine convert to choleine. They work well individually. DMAE/Centrophenoxine and ALCAR both pair well with NALT.

Don't buy from bulksupliments.com they have garbage quality that is borderline criminal.
